Scott's POV

I get a message from Chrissy
Chrissy: Kim, Alanna, Conner, and I are coming to the hospital
Scott: Ok, I'm here, is Andy coming?
Chrissy: Yes, he said he would take Alanna and Conner while Kim and I go into the room alone, she wants to spend time with Lauren alone. She misses her a lot.
Scott: I understand that, he can go in too if he wants
Chrissy: Ok thank u
Scott: Np, I'll see u soon
Chrissy: See u
They get here and I see Kim.
Scott: Kim!
Kim: Dad!
She hugs me tightly
Scott: Hey baby. Are u ok?
Kim: Ya, Conner and Alanna are so nice, I just missed u, and...
She starts tearing up
Kim: M-Mom...
Scott: Don't cry sweetie. It's ok. She'll be ok
Kim: I know she'll be ok.. I just miss her. A lot.
Scott: Should we go in?
Kim: Ya
I say hi to everyone and we go in
Kim: Oh my god mom...
She holds her hand.
Alanna: Aunt Lauren...
Conner doesn't say anything. He looks mad and sad at the same time.
Chrissy: Bean.. he really hurt her didn't he?.
Scott: Mhm.
Andy: I'm so sorry.
Scott: It's ok, it's not ur fault. It's mine. I couldn't protect her.
Kim: No it's not dad.
Scott: I tried protecting her.
Kim: Dad
Scott: It failed..
Kim: Dad!
Scott: I'm the worst
Kim: DAD!
Scott: What?
Kim: Its not ur fault ok
Scott: I'm sorry. I'm sad and scared.
Kim: I understand
We are in the room for awhile and then we leave so Kim can be alone with her. We all wait outside.

Kim's POV

I am alone in the room.
Kim: I know u can't hear me.. but I love u. I miss u so much and I feel bad.. I miss u and I hope u wake up soon.. My birthdays in about a week and I hope u can be there. But if not I understand. I love u so much
she kinda tightens her grip on my hand.
Kim: Can u hear me?
She moves slightly
Kim: U can.. I'll be right back ok?
She lets go of my hand and I rush outside
Kim: Dad, she moved
Scott: What?!
He stands up and goes to her.
Scott: Baby?
Lauren: S..
Scott: Oh my god, Lauren?!
Lauren: K..
Kim: Mom I'm here
I'm on the verge of tears
Lauren: Doc..
Kim: Doctor.
Scott leaves and gets a doctor. I stay with mom. Chrissy comes in
Chrissy: Is she awake?
Lauren: C...
Kim: She can only say letters/beginning of the word
Chrissy: Bean. Oh my god.
She smiles. Lauren smiles knowing we're here. The doctor gets here and we have to leave the room. I'm scared and excited and nervous and happy all at the same time. The doctor comes out saying she needs about a week in the hospital..
Scott: Ok thank u
Kim: Its not gonna reach my birthday. But at least she's alive
I smile
Scott: I know.. I'm sorry baby. But like u said, at least she's alive
He hugs me. We leave soon after.
Alanna: I'm sorry she won't be with u for ur birthday, but she's gonna survive
Kim: I know, I'm happy she's gonna survive
Conner: We all are I think
Chrissy: I am
Alanna: I am
Andy: So am I
Kim: U know I am
We giggle
Alanna: Ya
I stay with Chrissy for a few days and then it's the day before my birthday.
Chrissy: Hey, happy early birthday
Kim: Thanks
I smile
Chrissy: Ur Mom is getting better, we got a update on her and she's way better
Kim: That's great!
Chrissy: Ya
Kim:  I miss her.
Chrissy: I know u do
Kim: The orphanage used to treat us awful. She saved me.
Chrissy: What did they do?
Kim: Wouldn't feed us much. They used us. They didn't really care if we got hurt or if we had bad heath or mental heath. They..
Chrissy: Abused u.
Kim: Mhm.
Chrissy: I'm so sorry Kim. U didn't deserve it.
Kim: Its fine
She hugs me, I smile. We go downstairs and we all eat together. I realize that I was the last one awake.
Andy: Good morning Kim
Alanna: Happy early birthday!
Kim: Good morning and thank u
Conner: Hey Kim, happy early birthday
Kim: Hey, thank u
Conner: Ur welcome
I smile. We eat breakfast and then we watch a movie. Conner kinda cuddles me again. I feel weird. Chrissy sees it. She tells Alanna to come over to her. She whispers something and Alanna whispers back.
Chrissy: Conner come here
Conner goes over and she talks to him. He comes back and doesn't cuddle me. I go over and whisper
Kim: Thank u
Chrissy: Ur welcome sweetie
She hugs me
