I DON'T KNOW how long it went on for. The cutting, stabbing, jerking me around. It felt like forever. I had closed my eyes long ago, no longer able to look at his face.
I was light headed, I couldn't feel things properly. I think Yero knew this because he said something I didn't understand and slapped me across the face. My eyes flew open and I groaned.
"If you close those eyes again, I'll make sure you don't wake up." His voice was still only a growl and it was hard for me to understand his words. He had a heavy accent when he spoke English.
He jerked me to the side, making my head fall onto my shoulder. There was a wide mirror covering half the wall ahead of me. I almost screamed at the sight of myself.
My tank top had been torn on the left side, my breast peeking out of the top. I was covered head to toe in blood, most of it still dripping to the floor. I was paler than a ghost and I tried not to look at my neck.
The blood around the cut had dried enough to make it painful to move my head. Yero had carved something into my chest but my vision was so blurry I couldn't read it.
My eyes fell closed and I remembered what he said. I used the last of my energy to open them just as I saw his grin. "Ah, little Earthian. Still not following orders I see? Let's change that."
I let out a quiet groan and then I heard it; an explosion. Yero's head flew towards the door, eyes narrowing. He looked to the side and growled loudly. "If you move from this spot, I'll kill you myself."
I didn't move, too exhausted to even breathe.
He let go of me, letting my body hit the hard, metal floor. My butt hit first and I fell backwards, lightly wincing when my head smacked with a loud thud.
Yero didn't look back, just marched to the door, angrily. I turned my head to watch, to see what had made that noise. Yero punched in the code and the door slid open, only for three men to rush through, knocking him to the side.
The three men looked different from Yero or the others I had seen. They had lightly tanned skin and stood at about seven foot tall. They were barely dressed as well.
They all wore no shirts, just leather pants and black, combat boots. They all had black markings covering their chests, all of them different. They looked mostly human, except for the height and the pointed ears.
All three of them had short, spiked hair, varying in color. One had dark green, one had light blue and the other had dark red. I couldn't discern any other details before my eyes unfocused and it became hard to breathe.
The red and green haired ones turned towards Yero, blades in each hand. The blue haired one turned his attention to me. I knew I should have been scared, but what more could they do?
I had already been stabbed, beaten, and starved. If they were here to kill me, I would gladly take it. The blue haired man raked over my body with his eyes, shame filling his gaze.
Confusion clouded my mind and I let my eyes fall closed. It was beginning to be too much. All the pain and starvation hit me at once and I couldn't keep myself awake.
I didn't have the energy.
The last thing I heard was a fierce yell before everything went dark.

It was warm.
Like, very warm. I felt like I was sweating but then I couldn't feel anything. I didn't know if I was awake, I didn't feel awake. I could feel something soft, like a blanket or a bed sheet.
