Through the birth of quirks were born new types of people, new roles in society. Three of them in particular stand more than any other. Those three are heroes, villains and vigilantes.

Heroes are those we say are on the bright side of the world. We say that they give their all just to keep people safe. Though that is true, only the first heroes were like that. Back when the hero profession wasn't yet born, those with heroic mindsets and the heart of a hero would go out of their way to do anything to help others. And when being a hero officially became a job, many more people took on the role of protecting the world. They would use their quirks for the greater good.
Villains are those we say are on the dark side of the world. We say that they are heartless people with only the intent to hurt. Those claims are in some cases true, though they aren't in the majority. Many villains are simply misunderstood, people who were forcefully pushed to the wrong side of history by society. Although none of their pitiful backstories justify what they do, many of them don't deserve the cruelty from the rest of the world. Despite all this, they are what we call villains. They use their quirks for the worst.
Then we have vigilantes, people who use their quirks to save those in need without ever asking for anything in return. They are those who roam around in the shadows, protecting those the heroes can't reach. They walk on a thin grey line. They balance themselves on the single thread of grey that's perfectly balanced between black and white. Some of them walk confidently, their steps never faltering. Others step and stumble on that tiny thread of neutrality, tipping into the brighter shades at times, and falling into the darker ones at other times. Frankly speaking, vigilantes aim to protect, but one little push could tip them over to the other side, whether it be the good one or the bad one. And sometimes, when they fall to one of the sides, they never manage to climb back up onto their little safe tightrope.
They could be what you decide them to be, heroes or villains, it's really up to someone's point of view whether they are good or not. Though many people say that they are villains and should be taken down, many also claim that they are the real heroes, never asking to be noticed despite putting in hours upon hours of work into defending the world.

"Go die like the rest of your disgusting kind, you quirkless scum!"
"Oh my, you're quirkless? Sorry, we don't provide our service to animals."
"Security! Get this filthy vermin out of this place! We don't want them to infect us with their quirkless disease!"
"You? A hero? What a joke."
"Do you really think we wanted to hang out with you? How stupid can you be?"
"I'm sorry. Your son is quirkless."
•
"Oh look! Isn't she the one who killed those heroes? What a witch."
"Your quirk is cursed! Don't ever come near us again!"
"You want to be a hero? With a quirk like that? Have some more realistic dreams."
"Look at it! That filthy rat killed those heroes!"
"Witch."

"You knew and didn't tell us? You wanted them to die, didn't you?"
"It's disgusting! Boys should behave like boys, not try to act like something they aren't."
"It's all your fault they're dead."
"He's a monster. Don't go near him."
"He'll never surmount to anything with that attitude."
"It's your fault."
•
"What a villainous quirk!"
"Be careful! He'll brainwash you!"
"We spent all those years raising you, and you turn out to be a villain!"
"Get away from him! He's a villain!"
"Don't open that disgusting mouth of yours ever again."
"You're just a villain."
•
"Did you hear? She killed her own mother.
"You filthy trash. All you do is bring pain to those around you!"
"She's like a rat, spreading death wherever she goes."
"Don't get close to her, kids. She'll suck the life out of you."
"Hey pretty girl, we're gonna need you to do something for us."
"Murderer."
