Today is a cloudy morning.Just as it's been for the past years in my birthday a cloudy day and sometimes a rainy one.
Today I'm turning 16 even though it's hard to believe but I'm looking for something different to achieve. Most people get a driving license when they are 16 and some start drinking.
But I don't want to do any of these I don't think I'm strong or old enough to drive a car.Neither I'm ready to drink alcohol for a really good reason.
Especially when jack stole mom's wine bottle
And we both tried it.Despite its bitter taste and it's smell I started crying. But jake was saying a a lot of random things rapidly and he also confessed that he has a crush on my best friend Gaida.
And even though I told him I don't remember anything but I actually remember it very well.And to be honest I wasn't that surprised since I kind of guessed before but I wasn't sure.
That was a month ago and ever since then I didn't and I won't drink again.
Snapping out of my thoughts I get out of my bed and I go downstairs.Morning princess mom greats me with a smile.
Mom I'm older now won't you stop calling me that,I said.Nope you will forever be my little princess no matter how much you grow mom I say with a frown.
And then I notice that the kitchen is empty which is a little surprising since Sara always wakes up really early in the morning to prepare her breakfast since she is always on a diet.And jake is always trying to convince mom to get him the brand new ninentendo switch.
Mom where is everyone I ask go Check she says . And as soon as I take a step out of the kitchen I hear a loud bomb sound and a scream happy birthday they all shout. Happy birthday bro you are you can finally drive us to school now,he said as we did our salute routine.
Sara was holding the birthday cake she made.mom came out of the kitchen holding a phone and I can see two familiar faces across the screen.
Happy birthday They both say loudly.thank you I shout back you guys are coming after school right?,I ask.of course Ashley says.not even a question Gaida says.The best thing about my birthday is that mom allows me to skip school.
Time to blow the candles Sara says as she puts the cake on the table,make a wish she whispers.I close my eyes and after a few seconds I blow the candles.
Anyways time to go now Ashly says.alright see you guys after school I say.ok time to go to school now mom said,come on Jake says Stubbornly mom gives him a stare and then he leaves quietly with Sara.
After they leave mom pulls me in for a hug,I can't believe you grew up so quickly she says as she cracks a tear.Mom why are you being so emotional I'm just 16 I say,this is your gift she says.As she hands me a silver necklace with an Autumn tree on it.
Mom this is pretty I say in amusement and I give her a really tight hug.you need to get ready now,I'm going to the hospital see you tomorrow.
Alright I love you she says on her way out I love you too I shout back.And then I go upstairs to get ready since Ash,Gaida,Jake and Sara are coming after school and then we all will go out to celebrate.
