"Now explain," mitsuki said not looking back at the red-haired male.

"Huh"
"What do you know"
The red-haired looked around making sure no one besides them are listening

"I'm part of the lab and research team and my senpais are working on something but they refused to tell us saying it was a project they received from the higher-ups" he looked down trying to form the following information he'll say

"Then?"

"I was asked to go for an errand in that hospital but suddenly a patient walked in and started attacking people"

"And?"

"I tried going back to the lab I'm in but I got trapped in the hospital myself and people started getting wild and leaving the hospital, some of them got left behind there and I heard from my radio that I used to communicate to the lab that some people have gone wild and also started biting others," he said clutching his fist

Silently telling himself if he could've come back sooner maybe he's still with his family in the lab

"Do you know anyone or someone who could've survived?"

"I don't know but, maybe the doctor I'm assisting to? I hope they did though, the last sounds I heard from the radio are endless screaming for help and equipment breaking" He slightly shook at the memory before his only communication to his used to be house broke and dissolved into static noise

"I see, sorry to hear that," the short oranged haired boy said, feeling guilty at how he treated the boy, suspecting him even though he's a victim himself

"But" Mitsuki gave him a sharp glance

"by any chance, is this whole catastrophe caused by your organization? you did mention your senpais are working on something" 

"Honestly I don't know, as I said I'm a trainee despite being in the lab for so long. There are data, information as well as projects that are discreet and only those involved and within higher-ups only know" the red-haired continued looking down

"But"
"but what?" the older male looked at him waiting for his continuation

"If any case that the root of this chaos is from WRU, as part of the team I also have the responsibility to try my best and fix this mess...Well not that I can say I'm really capable or confident I can but I'll use everything that I know" Riku raised his head again with determination in his eyes

"although I hope guys in your team are ok having me, knowing the situation we're in. Buuutt, if you were to contain me still let me help out with this! I have my duties as a researcher after all"

"They're counting on me after all, wherever they may be" riku muttered the last part and looked away

"Are you an idiot? you'll let us contain you but you want us to let you help out? do you realize that containing you means like you'll be isolated yeah????" mitsuki looked at him in disbelief

"But you still need my help anyways! even if this isn't caused by our lab, I'm the only functioning lab personnel left to deal with these things scientifically! I mean you can't just forever shoot people with your guns because they're infected yeah???"  The latter said with a little enthusiasm knowing what he said is true anyways

"Wow, for someone who was a bit timid earlier and about to be under their custody, you sure are bold " Yamato who was listening to their conversation the entire time speak up

The red haired rolled his eyes at the younger one's comment "everything is at stake here after all, I can't really cut any corners" he retorted

"How would you know that you're the only science professional that we have now when you haven't even seen our HQ and entire building yet. You didn't know yet if we have our own research team" mitsuki raised his brows 

"You have, but all those researchers are still from WRU, and as a personnel I know very well that all of wru people were excused from their specific branches since yesterday for a supposedly general meeting tomorrow. The researchers from your hq arrived yesterday morning and was in the lab with me before I went off to the hospital" riku said remembering how one of them was actually the last wru member he saw before this whole thing ensued

"You said you're a trainee but how come you know all of this? also just how old are you really? it looks like you should still be in a university like iori"  the orange male raised his suspicions more despite of the latter being more than willing to cooperate

"That's a personal thing Izumi-san, but even if I say that it'll raise more suspicions right?" riku sighed clutching his bag tighter "I was actually raised in the facility that's all"

"heeh, so you like, grew up in the lab?"  mitsuki followed up as they kept walking, riku leading the way to the nearest WRU lab he was in 

neither of them actually went back to the  rescue shelter with tamaki, instead the bluenette is still up above in the heli monitoring the surroundings meanwhile sougo,iori and yamato walking and being protected by the two I.DOL members

Riku muttered a 'yeah' as he stopped on a large gate in front of him with

"We're at the entrance, I don't know what we'll be facing but" riku looked at them all strapping his mask to his side and readying his weapon

"Let's be prepared for anything" he said with a serious look that made them all somewhat shivered

"That's my line kid and we should be the one doing the protecting" mitsuki shoved him aside and positioning himself to look at the guard house for any signs of life

he saw a man wearing a guard uniform but with the looks of it alone, he instantly shot it's head

the man froze and collapsed, with his head popping out of the window and facing the sky mitsuki saw how rotten his face is and his blood like how he saw it staining his whole uniform even facing his back.

though there's something more. the blood going down his face from the area where mitsu shot him. It's no ordinary blood

it's a mixture of green and red, a very disgusting sight to look at, and made the orange haired man cover his mouth with his hands

"Izumi-san what's wrong?" the red haired boy asked walking to him

"His blood, it's something suspicious" He replied

"I see" the younger boy opened his backpack and grabbed some sort of tube container and a syringe

"What are you doing?" the older man asked

"Getting a sample, this might help later on" the latter took a sample with his syringe and extracted out some of the guard's blood placing it on the tube container after

he then grabbed a small box from his bag and placed the tightly sealed container into the box after observing how the green and red pigment don't really mix with each other. Instead, it looks like both colors are not very much compatible with each other.

"Well this is odd," the red teen said closing the small box and placing it back into his bag

"What is?" nagi asked

"I don't know how to explain it yet, we need more clues since even I can't still yet understand what is happening" he replied

"but does that mean we're about to infiltrate your base???? we get to see more cool stuff????" the white-haired man whom they almost forgot was with them asked with enthusiasm no one even dared to do in this situation

"I still don't get how you're exhilarated with this set up when we could be bitten and die at any moment given" The raven haired sighed deeply at his childhood friend

"Now stop the chit chatting, we're about to go in" mitsuki announced
