Calvin ellis grew up onside of Superman or Clark Kent as he knows him. now it is time for him to step up and become his own hero and find out who he is and his destiny as a superhero.
Name Calvin Ellis Kryptonian name: Val-Zod Origin: Val-Zod was born the son of Cir-El and the Legendary General Dru-Zod. He is apart of the Kryptonian island of Valtho while his father was a kryptonian general. They fell in love before his turn to the dark side. She saw the path of destruction he was on and Krypton's eminent destruction, she decided to with the help of Jor-El sent her son to Earth, so he can live a life with a family that will love him. Zod caught her and they fought and he accidentally killed her. He is then sent to The Phantom Zone until Krypton's destruction. He lands in Kansas at the Ellis house, a family who was close to the Kent's and was found the same night that Clark was found. And they loved him, and considered him a blessing from God that fell from the sky. He and Clark also grew up together and are best friends. And even saved people and fought meteor freaks together. Eventually, Clark becomes Superman, and now Calvin must find his way and become a hero on his own.
Personality Much like Clark, Calvin is an honorable person and being raised in a Christian home, was taught moral values and was raised to be a good person. And wants to use his powers for the benefit of others and follow Clarks example. However, he has angst for being Zod's son, a man who tried to destroy the earth. However, he puts his best foot forward and be the best hero he can be.

Kryptonian Physiology: As a Kryptonian, He like other kryptonians absorb sunlight like nuclear fusion however it is theorized that the melanin in his skin helps him absorb sunlight faster and more efficiently than Clark. He is stronger than Clark and Kara but only by a slight margin.
Solar energy Absorption: Calvin's powers are dependent on the solar radiation (energy spectrum) of a yellow star to fuel her powers and abilities. Her body is metabolizing the yellow solar radiation to convert it into a vastly superior amount of energy to fuel her tremendous level of abilities, meaning his body is like a nuclear fusion body absorbs solar radiation, the stronger he will grow. However, the melanin in his skin enables him to absorb sunlight at a higher rate making him stronger and faster than Clark.
Heat Vision: Val-Zod can, as a conscious act, fire beams of intense heat at a target by looking at it. He can vary the heat and area affected.
Super-Hearing: Val-Zod's hearing is sensitive enough to hear any sound at any volume or pitch. With skill and concentration, he can block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source or frequency.
Enhanced Vision: Val-Zod's vision processes the entire electromagnetic spectrum as well as allowing vast control over selective perception and focus. This umbrella ability includes the following:
Electromagnetic Spectrum Vision: Val-Zod can see well into most of the electromagnetic spectrum. He can see and identify radio and television signals as well as all other broadcast or transmitted frequencies. Using this ability, he can avoid detection by radar or satellite monitoring methods.
