*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

(The Next Day, In The Afternoon~)

I felt so much better after passing out last night. But I was so comfortable in my bed, I didn't wanna move. I groaned and rolled over onto my stomach, and buried my head in my pillows.

"Stiles! Get down here!" I heard dad call from downstairs. I whined and groaned, but told myself to get up. I rolled off of my bed and onto the floor, before standing up. I rubbed my eyes with my fists like a small child, before yelling "Coming!"

I dragged myself downstairs to see my dad talking to someone. When I got closer, I saw he was talking to some guy. The guy was tall, and buff judging by the size of his arms, he had dark black hair, tan skin, green eyes, and somewhat of a beard going on...It wasn't really a beard, it was just a lot of stubble. He was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt with the sleeves stopping just under his elbows, tight black jeans that fit him well, and some black combat boots. He was.......Attractive.

Whoa there Stiles, did you just call him, ATTRACTIVE?! Well any guy could say another guy is attractive, and not mean it in a Gay way. Now if I had said he was hot, or he was sexy, then yeah it would've sounded like I meant it in a Gay way.

Dad looked at me and said "Stiles, this our new neighbor, Derek Hale. Derek, this is my son, Stiles." The guy named Derek smiled and said "It's nice to meet you." Wow, he has a nice smile. And his eyes are just-STOP IT STILINSKI! YOU'RE STRAIGHT! You like violence, sports, Bacon, Steak, porn, MANLY THINGS!.....Well I'm not good at sports, and I don't watch Porn-DAMMIT STILES!

I just smiled awkwardly and said "Hey...Oh so it was you who had the U-Haul truck in the driveway yesterday." Dad raised his eyebrow at me and asked "You met Derek yesterday?"

I shook my head and said "No, I was too tired for people, so I just came inside the house, ate dinner, and went to sleep." Dad nodded and Derek chuckled.

I smiled nervously at him, and felt like I was an inch tall. Derek was only an few inches taller than me, but I'm always weird and awkward around people..Even if I've known them for years.

"So um Derek, what made you wanna move down to Beacon Hills?" I asked, trying to start some form of normal human conversation. He shrugged and said "I dunno, this place just feels peaceful and quiet...And that's kinda what I needed, and I couldn't have that living in the city."

We nodded and dad said "Well, it's nice to have you as our neighbor, and I hope you enjoy your stay here. Would you like some help unpacking? Stiles would love to help, wouldn't you son?"

I raised my eyebrows and looked at my dad. Derek said "Sure, I'd love some help..If that's okay with you, Stiles." My gaze moved over to Derek and said "Um...S-Sure, no problem...No problem at all...Hey um dad, would you like to help us?"

Dad said "Sorry son, but I gotta run down to the station for a little bit. I won't be gone long." He turned to Derek and asked "Would you like to stay for dinner, Derek? We wouldn't mind having some company over." Derek smiled and said "Sure, I'd love to."

Dad smiled and said "Great." He turned to me and said "Have fun unpacking, I'll be back soon. Make sure you have your phone on you, Stiles." I rolled my eyes and said "Okay dad." He patted me on the back and walked over to the front door, grabbing his keys.

"And have it turned up all the way!"

"I know!"

I watched as he walked out, leaving me alone with Derek. We stood in awkward silence for a couple minutes, until I cleared my throat.

"So um, let's get started, shall we?"

He nodded in agreement and said "Yeah, let's go."

I said "Hang on a sec, I'm gonna go change real quick."

He looked at me curiously and I just smiled.

"I'll be right back...Wait..Right here." Before turning and running up the stairs, nearly falling in the process. Smooth Stiles, way to make a first impression.

I quickly ran back upstairs to my room, closed the door, and stopped out of my clothes from yesterday. I quickly pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans, a white band shirt, and pulled on a red and black flannel shirt over that. I quickly rolled the sleeves up, sprayed myself with some Axe cause I didn't have time to shower, and slipped some Vans on.

I grabbed my phone, turned the volume all the way up, and shoved it in my pocket. I grabbed my keys from the nightstand by my bed, ran out of my room, and quickly trotted back downstairs, where Derek hadn't moved an inch. He looked up at me with raised eyebrows, and it looked as it he was scanning my outfit. I smiled awkwardly and said "Okayyy...Let's get going." Derek nodded in agreement and he followed me out, closing the door behind me.

Thanks for throwing me under the bus, dad...Now our new neighbor thinks I'm a total weirdo.
