"He's been looking for you since you left, Betty, he didn't mean for it to happen," Veronica says through the phone.
Betty lays on her back, staring at Archie from across the room. "I'm not going back. I'm lucky it was you because you would have told me. It could have been some other girl."
"It wouldn't have been, he loves you so much. It was an accident."
"How do you accidentally kiss?"
"I don't know, but he's apologized to both of us. He didn't mean for that to happen, it just did. Please, it's been a month. Every time Cheryl goes to visit he's crying. It's just been you and him against the world since seventh grade. Please, Cheryl hates seeing him so miserable."
"How do you think I feel?"
"I know it hurts, but it was a fluke."
Betty sighs, "I'll go talk to him, but I'm not getting back together with him."
"Thank you."
Betty gets to Jughead's house and knocks twice before walking in. She heads into the living room and finds Jughead asleep with tears drying on his face. She gently wipes away the tears and covers him with a blanket.
"Betty?" He groans.
"Shh, you need sleep." She brushes back his hair with her hand and Jughead jolts awake.
"Betts, it's you. It's really you. God, I've missed you so much. I'm so glad you're home."
"I just want to talk about divorce and visitation and everything."
Jughead drops his head and lets out a sob that makes Betty want to break down and move back in.
"No, please don't...please don't leave me again."
"I just..."
"Betts, love, please. Please don't go."
"Why should I stay?"
"Because I love you and you love me. That's all."
"We can't rebuild a relationship on love.
"We can."
"I don't know how to trust you anymore."
"Betts, I am so serious right now. It will never happen again." He cups her face in his hands.
"Why, why would you...am I not good enough?"
"You are more than good enough, please, please just give me a second chance."
Betty sighs, "okay, because you told me and...and because it was just a kiss, and because I love you."
"Can I please just kiss you?"
Betty gets up, sitting down next to him and nods. Jughead puts a hand on the back of her head and kisses her gently.
"We're going to be okay, right?" He whispers into her lips.
Betty reassures him with a kiss. She crawls into his lap, resting her head on his shoulder and smiling.
"I missed you," she says, "oh, I have something to show you!" She exclaims, jumping off of his lap.
"What is it?"
Betty lays back on the couch and tugs her pants down slightly and pulls up her hoodie. Jughead stares at the small bump and smiles.
"Can I?" Jughead gestures towards her belly and she nods.
He rests a hand on her stomach and Betty smiles happily. She draws circles on the back of Jughead's hand before kissing him softly on the lips.
"I'm so glad you're back," he whispers into her lips.
"I am too."
