The Seasons

The warm fresh breeze greets you with refreshing aromas

Taking away all your sorrows and leaving you with no dilemmas

Indeed, it is the season of spring

It gives you the feeling of happiness that makes you want to dance and sing

Hope fills our heart as the Holy Spirit takes over

This inspires us to make a change for the better

The birds soar while the squirrels rejoice

Children laugh with a single joyous voice

Shortly after the heat was on and summer took over

Under the intense heat, everything seemed to shimmer

Some struggle not to get blinded by the light

Some fail as they run away in fright

Inside my tender heart, I can feel the heat

As challenges come because of the expectations I’ve failed to meet

The vast ocean tempts me to take a swim

To empty my mind that’s full to the brim

Nostalgia gets me again as I watched the enchanting waves of the river

Like the flowing of it, I wish that spring would last forever

I hope that happiness would forever be embedded in my heart

As I reminisced about the things I’ve done from the start

“Crunch, crunch, crunch,” was the sound of my feet

As I walked over the fallen leaves, I gritted my teeth

Chills crawled down my spine

Winter is near; it’s almost time

Snowflakes fell as I stood in the biting cold

Oh how I wish that I had someone to hold

Tonight, sorrow is all I could feel

The pain and the agony; how I wish this isn’t for real

People can get as fickle-minded as nature

Being moody like some threatened creature

At times teary-eyed, like raindrops slowly dripping

Then all of a sudden a burst of laughter with both eyes gleaming

Eventually, people will find happiness

With God by their side to take away all their sadness
