The story ends like a dimming light

Her fingers left his hand that night

Last goodbye was not even seen.

They smiled, yet, sorrow got the win.

She could've cried on the second thought,

But that fake promise she made though.

Screamed though eyes as smiled on lips.

Smile wasn't real, yet her love was deep.

Day to meet again is hard to come.

Threw his hand down, walked for home.

Thought she didn't leave for sure,

Stupid peeked again through the door.

That hiccup after the last goodbye,

Or that skip of heart at first sight,

Still not sure which felt the most.

Cause both of the times, both were lost.
