Alex sat at the back of the class drifting off he looked at the clock 2:57 just a couple more minutes he though till he was out of this hell whole people called school (Honestly alex is mood) he noticed Washington was giving him glances ever now and then and he squirmed uncomfortably on his chair.
The bell went chairs squeaked on the floor "EVERYONE READ CHAPTER 10-12 FOR HOMEWORK THERE WILL BE A QUIZ ON MONDAY" Washington yelled on top of the buzz of the classroom everyone groaned except for teacher's pet Samuel but lately he'd had been more quiet and not exactly teacher's pet more like a nerd not sucking up to teachers and keeping himself to himself alex just shrugged it off.
It was none of his business and yet he felt like he needed to dig down deeper it wasn't just Samuel who was acting off He had lost count how many boys he seen being more quiet not talking to anyone his best friend John laurens had started acting odd his thoughts were cut short by Washington's words
"Alexander stay after class I need a word with you"
Alex didn't know it then but those words changed his life for ever
