Many years ago, a type of fox with seven tails was able to run wild and freely through the lands. It knew no rules, and would do what it wanted.
None ever trifled with it. It guarded the lands from the creatures of the Unknown. It ruled over all the other animals there, no one challenging it. Not even the mighty dragons.
All was peaceful here. Until one fateful day. When a driving force drove these beautiful creatures from there home.
"King Alef, where will we go?" worried a gray Kitsune. "We will go where the wind tells us." responded the wise white Kitsune. She nodded, and went to organize the worried creatures of the forest
"My friends! The great King Alef has spoken. We must follow the wind!" she said. "But where's the wind?" said a stubborn Jackalope. "Hush. It is coming. Be patient." said the Kutsune, called Ioni.
All the animals hushed and waited for a great wind. Suddenly a great driving breeze fell upon them. "There it is! The wind! It is here to take us to our new home!" they cheered.
King Alef looked upon all of them, smiling. Ioni walked back over to him. "Your Majesty. We both know the Kitsunes won't be safe there. Where will we go?" she said, bowing. His smile turned stern very quickly.
"The Kitsunes will stay. We will protect or home from the coming danger. We will not be taken down easily. We will give up a good fight!" he said, raising his chin. Ioni bowed lower. "Yes, sir. However, what will happen to the prophecy?
He smiled. "Ahh yes. The prophecy we recieved from Karo. He said that the prophecy came from the stars. Only time will tell. It could be years before it comes true." he said. She nodded. "I see. Would you like me to gather some of our troops?" she asked.
He lowered his head. "Yes. And for this battle, you will be known as Captain Ioni, I am moving up your ranking from General." he said, and began walking away from her.
"Yes, sir." she said, and moved away from him, giving the king space.
King Alef sighed. "If this danger is going to wipe us out, you could at least have warned us" he said, turning his head up to the sky. "I know my ancestors are very wise, but we could have had a warning. Our species my never breathe again after this."
A soft wind ruffled his fur. "Ahh, I see. This battle was unpredictable. I will fight well, for the future of our species. Thank you for always supporting me on this journey. Goodbye, Grandfather."
The king stepped down from the rock he had been standing on.
"We will fight. Kitsune kind depends on it." he muttered
Then he walked off to prepare for battle.
