"Do you know why the chief is calling us" By chief I mean our boss here at Xoxo Corporation. lol, Xoxo. This fact still amuses me. His son, heir named it this.

I would love to interview the amazingly creative person behind the company but unfortunately can’t because it’s something not revealed to media. nobody knows who’s the heir of these billions of fortunes.

Some say the heir is an old person. Some say already married. Some went by the typical hot, bachelor billionaire story and so on.

There is also 1 percent of these some people which believe that they don’t have a baby and are just bluffing.  Right now, me and Xavier for some unknown reason are heading towards chief’s office. Knocking at the door we hear a come in. Entering one by one we see our boss who is a 40 years old man.

Sitting on that big chair that gives I-am-the-boss-and-you-will-follow-me vibes. 

 “Good that you two are here. This is Melinda and the guy next to her is Jack. Melinda, Jack these are Mia and Xavier. I have observed you all to have remarkable performance in your respective department and have decided to put you in a team. For this particular deal” with that saying he hands Xavier who is standing closest to the boss four folders.

“Keep one for yourself and pass it on” soon enough Xavier passes the file to me and I hand it over to Jack and him to Melinda.

“These have all the information that you will be needing. Go through it and if you have any doubts, do not come to me. Discuss among yourself. This deal that you will be working means too much to be taken lightly."

Takes a deep breath for dramatic pause and says throwing the bomb that, "If even one screws, all will get fired. Now enough of time pass. I have a room arranged where you will be working. Get along chit chat and as soon as the 5th minute is done. Get to work or consider yourself fired faster enough to not being able to let out a, but sir- I. leave.”

Ok first of all what the fuck?

“What are you waiting for? Christmas? Leave.” Ok. Soon enough all of us leave the office and not wanting us to freeze in an ice. I quickly use the typical ice breaker that is, “Hi. I am Mia. Heart identity red blackish. Yours?” Bad I know but what do you do when you suddenly get to know this one deal is worth your job?

I really regret the moment I said because immediately I say so Xavier starts laughing loudly. Drama king. But my king.

 Anyway, jack stifles his laughter while Melinda says, “Oh My God really I decided to temporarily go deaf. Didn’t hear boss giving introduction” ok I officially hate her.

 I say nothing but surprisingly Jack oh so suddenly sobers up and says, “That’s downright disrespectful towards your team mate. I say you should apologize” I Mia Anderson official like this guy but on the other hand Xavier not so much because now he is giving him a murderous glare.

He would have definitely said something like threatening or what our majesty likes to say showing ‘claim.’ Lol. but I guess is restricted by our company’s policy that, ‘No Co- worker can have a relationship with each other.’ Phew.

 To ease up this tension and not wanting to pick a fight so soon with someone I will be working with for a while. I choose to remain quiet.

Moments later enough Jack says, “I guess we should get going towards the assigned room. Don’t know about you but I really would hate to get fired on the first day of my assignment” he says jokingly.

 “Oh gosh another fool! Do you even know what is the room number? Idiot. What are you going to do open each door of this 70-floor building and ask if this is our ‘assigned’ room” exclaims Melinda with a bored look?

Did I mention I hate this girl? Downright rude wanting to now put her in place I was about to say something when the boss’s door open.

 “Santa will deliver your gifts on Christmas but now, if you will please excuse yourself.” With sarcasm dripping through his voice says our boss.

Ready to close the door back but is interrupted by guess who?

Melinda
“That’s exactly what I was trying to say to this lovely team assigned by you. A man who does no mistake. But they wanted to chit chat here and discuss heart colours. While I was wondering on what’s the room no. just wanting to get started and not waste company’s even one second.”

Bitch say what. Freaking chameleon, changing colours. Now I don’t know what the boss found amusing in this but he reciprocated her question with another question, “That’s good so have you already guessed what’s the number?”

“I don’t know unfortunately because, ‘teamwork divides the tasks and multiple the success’ and here only, I was the one putting my mind trying to figure it out.”

 Everybody please stands up from your seats and give this girl an applause for so much hard work. The dates for awarding ceremony will be sent via mails. Don’t forget to check.

But seriously back to work no matter how rude our boss can be. He is respected in his work of field. Also known as a man with no imperfections and I don’t think he would make stupid mistake like not telling us the assigned room number. But if did, I accept.

He is a human Afterall but not wanting it to be the latter one I take a look at the folder given by him and to not my surprise its written on the first page itself in bold.

 Not wanting our team to look dumb. Like a whirlwind I say, “Room 6003?” that makes the boss turn from Melinda to me and seeing how I have the folder in my hand and first page a bit opened. Smiles and nods.

 My jaw officially loves kissing the floor because geez I didn’t think he could smile. I thought he was of those bosses who act differently at work and different at home with family members.

 Just as quickly the door closes Xavier sends a 100 Watt smile that gives me the type of warmth one would feel after a long day at work and finally hitting the bed.

Jack thanking me for making sure our team didn’t look stupid but of course Melinda had to intervene and say, “I knew it you were like one of those who take credit for themselves. Anyway, let’s get going I want to get the work done already so I can go home away from you disgusting rats. Obviously not you Mr. handsome.”

She says looking directly at Xavier batting her eyelashes. *Fake eyelashes.*

Calm down Mia. Calm.
Yup. Calm.
