Three days later
Julia's POV
I went back to the hospital, and they told me Carmen had woken up. "Would you like to see her?" The receptionist asked. I nod, unable to speak. The receptionist told me where her room was. I walked to the room, opened the door, and walked in to see her. She had a bandage on her head and looked at me dazed and confused. "He.. hello love. Do you remember me?" I asked, shocked that she even survived the attack. The stitches that seemed to crawl like caterpillars on a leaf made my skin crawl as I looked at my lover's face.
She looked back at me, her silver eyes which used to hold love and kindness. Now shown with numbness and indifference. "Who are you?" She asked. My mind started to break down. She didn't remember me. Hot tears started to stream down my face as my heart shattered into shards, I backed away, unsure of what to say or even do. "Carmen, don't you remember me?" I wiped the tears from my face as I tried so hard to keep myself calm, but who could keep calm after finding out the one they love doesn't remember them?
