Dream SMP: The War for L'Manburg

Introduction and Information

I don't know where to start. Let's just go with... Hello! You can call me Eclipse, and I want to try something. You see, I want to commit myself to support the Dream SMP in any way possible. I stink at drawing, and I'm definitely not going to stream anytime soon, so I've decided to write a book. It's going to be a long, difficult process, and my writing probably sucks, but I can do it! Right?

Here's what you need to know about the book. First of all, you'll notice it's in the first person. Just so no one gets confused, it's from Tommy's point of view. If you don't know who Tommy is, then you probably don't know what the Dream SMP is. If that's the case, go watch it! It has an amazing storyline, and the community and streamers themselves are amazing. If you look up "Dream" on YouTube, you'll find the original creator of the SMP. He's amazing at Minecraft and has stolen the speedrunner world record a few times. However, if you want the juicy stuff, watch TommyInnit, WilburSoot, or Tubbo. Fair warning, though. All of them curse quite a bit, and Tommy probably curses the most.

I should probably get back on track. Like I said before, this is in Tommy's pov, and it's pretty AU-like. Here's what you need to understand; I want it to be as if the world we live in right now was Minecraft. That means there are lots of Minecraft aspects to it, including potions, enchantments, fictional mobs, and biomes. However, the more technical side is realistic. There's no game, so there's no leaving or joining it. If they weren't in the SMP beforehand, it just meant they were somewhere else in the world. The 'skins' are going to have some resemblance to the person, but it's mostly going to be based on real-life looks. And, the most important thing, you only have one life.

Now, I know what's going through your head. "But Eclipse, if there's only one life, how are the big deaths going to work?" The answer to that is simple; they aren't going to die. I've already worked around the big deaths, such as the events of the original betrayal, the elections, the festival, and the... other.... betrayal. Sorry, I just don't want to spoil it for those who are reading this without knowing the events of the SMP. So, as I was saying, I've worked my way around those deaths, and have plans for the other ones.

Alright, now that that stuff is out of the way, I have a few things to clear up.

1) There's not going to be any shipping in this AU. Since this is a little bit more realistic, I want to stay as close to people's sexualities as possible. Also, I don't know who is comfortubbo with being shipped with other people. I don't want to accidentally ship someone with someone else when they say that they aren't okay with being shipped.

2) You might notice that even though this is Tommy's pov, there is going to be practically NO cursing. There are two main reasons for this. The first is more personal. I don't curse, and I don't feel comfortable cursing, so I'm not going to curse. The second actually has a bit of reasoning behind it. Since Tommy curses so much, when he actually means it, it doesn't quite hit home. For example, when the betrayal happened, there's the classic quote:

"It was never meant to be."

No, not that one. This one.

"Now, listen to me. And I mean this in the nicest way possible; You f****d up."

When Tommy says this, there's the only awkward silence that follows. No one takes him seriously because he flips off people every other sentence! However, if someone who DOESN'T curse says that, you really know you screwed up.

3) This is heavily AU based! There's going to be things that happen in streams that don't make an appearance here, and there's going to be stuff here that is made up and isn't in a stream. I want your opinions! If there's anything that shows up in a stream that isn't mentioned here but you think it's important, tell me! If there's something I say in here that you think isn't in character, tell me! This isn't only my project; I want it to be more of the community! So please, share your opinion!

On that note, though, try not to be rude. I mean, it's a shame that I even have to mention this, but being rude isn't cool and it's not going to solve your problems. If you have advice or calm opinions about my writing, that's OK. Everyone has their own opinion, and you shouldn't ever be told that you shouldn't share it. There is no reason, however, to start being rude, chaotic, or just a downright jerk to people that are trying their best. If you want it done right, do it yourself.

Please note that I'm still in school, and I'll try to get things done as fast as I can. There is, however, only so much I can do in one session, so please be patient with me! The main reason I'm posting this now is so that I can't back out of it later. I hope you enjoy it!

EDIT: I was watching Wilbur's stream, and someone asked him if they could post a story of the SMP. This made me think, should I ask people of the SMP if I could write this book? I'm ashamed that I didn't think of it before, so I'm taking down the one part I finished (wow I need to work on this more) until I get permission from Wilbur (who wrote the storyline,) Tommy (since it's in his POV), and Dream (if I can idk if he has discord).
