Hawks

Because of the current Civil war kiego has been on the front lines now more than ever. 

Him and the other Pro-heroes have been sent to the front  to control the chaos and protect the civillians despite the current situation. People don't trust heroes anymore. 

Because of this, people have been attacking heroes and their loved ones. 

This has only agitated hawk's  paranoia and his need to protect you has only grown.  

When he's with you at night you notice how tense he has gotten.  His wings stiffen and his face and eyes change, like a predator preparing to attack. 

Every time he hears a car drive by  or when the house creaks he jerks his head up in anticipation.  The uncertainty of the whole situation has only made you appreciate the time you do have with him that much more. 

Mornings are always the same with Hawks, usually he is up before you, but today you beat him to it.

You tiptoe out of bed as carefully as you can so that you can get a head start on breakfast. 

You don't make it to the kitchen like you planned, and it  didn't take long before you felt his arms around your waist.

"Where do you think your going beautiful? I thought we were going to be spending the day in bed."  He said as he was nuzzling your neck.

"I was going to get started on breakfast bird brain. I wanted to let you sleep just a little more. It's a Miracle you got the day off. Now hands off..Unless you.. don't want chicken and waffles this morning.."

You turn to meet his gaze. You could tell this was all taking a toll on him. Despite the exhaustion in his face he was still the beautiful man you fell in love with.
When he looks at you with those golden eyes it's the same every time. Time stops and the world just fadeds away.
"You really are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I am so lucky to be able to wake up next to you every morning."   He pulls you into a kiss and your heart skips a beat.
You make it to the kitchen finally to get started on breakfast.
Even if the world seems like it's ending, you have these moments with him. Every moment with him seems to last a lifetime and you are complete.
