"Guys I don't know what to do. It's Sunday, I met him on Friday and I-" Beth stops and places the piece of paper down on the counter, gripping her forehead, "I don't even know if he's local."
"Well sis, if you don't call him I will!" Annie grabs the paper, "Woah, he has really good handwriting!"
"And that matters why?" Ruby grabs the paper from her and puts it back onto Beth's counter.
"It means that he's like, professional or something. Guys usually have chicken scratch, he's got like business handwriting." Annie grabs her glass of tequila on the counter taking a sip.
"He's really nice too. Well, not necessarily nice actually, more respectful. I guess professional was the right word Annie. He didn't even want to see my boobs. Everyone wants to see my boobs!" Beth makes a gesture before pulling her phone out of her back pocket.
"What are you doing B?" Ruby watches as Beth's typing into her phone.
"I'm just gonna text him. It's less awkward, I don't want to call and have it be the wrong time. This way he can respond when he feels like it." She finishes his number and begins on the message. Hey, it's Beth from the club. Short and sweet, without asking for confirmation from Annie and Ruby, the text is already sent.
"Wow, you really did that?" Annie grabs Beth's phone to verify, "He must have been special huh?"
Ruby glances towards Beth who looks as giddy as a school girl, "He better live up to these expectations B. I love you, and I don't need some asshole breaking your heart. Besides, I don't want it to conflict with work."
"It won't... I promise." She smiles at Ruby. They all make their way to the couch to watch reality TV shows.

Laying in her bed, Beth glances at the clock it's late, 12:38 am. Just as she's going to force herself into sleep, her phone chimes. Reaching for it slowly, Beth expects it to be Annie texting about what she should wear to work tomorrow. Instead, it's a number that's not a contact, but just by the message she knows exactly who it is. Hey ma, what's up? Just as she's about to text back her phone starts ringing.
"What, why are you calling me?" Beth picks it up abruptly.
"I don't know what to wear to work tomorrow, I have a brown set, like a reindeer." Annie questions.
Beth let's out a big sigh, "No, wear that one on Tuesday. I don't work tomorrow and I wanna see how it looks." Losing her train of thought, she remembers, "Oh shit, I have to go, he just texted me back."
"Oh my god, I'm going to hang up, sorry!" She ends the call.
"Jesus..." Beth whispers, now going back to look at the text once more. She didn't know how to respond. Luckily before she could type anything else, another message comes in. I'll pick you up at 7 pm, cool? She stares at her phone with so many questions... does he know my address? What do I wear? Where are we even going?
Beth's mind is racing, she knows she won't be able to sleep tonight. All she can think to type back is short and simple. Okay. Another response doesn't come in, Beth takes this as an invitation to relax.

4:58 pm, Beth rummages through her clothes, she had picked her shoes but she couldn't seem to find the right dress. Her clothing had been organized by color, already knowing she wanted to wear red. She sifted through the left side of her closet, finding sweaters, blouses, until she stopped on one hanger that had displayed a red dress. This dress was fully laced, and the fabric was more opaque covering the areas that needed to be covered. Why do I have this? As revealing as it was, she didn't mind, Beth knew she had no reason to be shy. She plucks it off of the hanger and pulls it up over her hips and breasts, it fits like a glove. Standing in the mirror, she admired her figure, walking over to grab her black suede heels with red bottoms. Trying on the entire look, she went towards her closet once more to grab a small bag. Keeping the clothing on but slipping a robe over the top, she began her hair and makeup.
