MONA'S POV
<~EDITED~>

I locked the door behind mom before following her into my living room. She sat down with a somber expression on her beautifully aged face.

My nerves grew. She knows.

I sat farther away from her as possible and I cleared my scratchy throat. My mom still had her head down and her fingers clasped.

"Mo--mmy?" I stuttered out almost smacking myself. I sounded so guilty.

She didn't answer me.

"I didn't mean for this to happen. I'm sorry Mommy. I don't even remember most of the night and I'm not even sure if we used pr--"

"What are you talking about monachim?" She asked staring with her elegantly arched eyebrow at me curiously.

Wait.

"I-I-what?" My eye brows furrowed in slight confusion.

"Mona why didn't you tell me?" Now she had a look of disbelief.

I didn't know what to say so i kept mute. I was beyond confused.

"Tell you what?" I asked sceptically.

"Oh I don't know that you and Micheal broke up!"

Oh. That. I never told my mom or anyone else except amara about the break up four years ago.

I just told them that he had to leave for Germany. My parents liked him a lot and I didn't want to break their hearts.

I stood up from my seat relieved that she didn't know about my baby. Yet. Suddenly I was tired again.

"Who told you?" I sighed.

"Michael. I bumped into him earlier today at the store. I was surprised at seeing him and asked if you knew that he was back from Germany. He said you knew. I asked why you haven't told us and why he hasn't visited us yet. That's when he told me you guys broke up"she confessed.

I rolled my eyes.

"Why didn't you tell us you guys broke up?" She pressed.

"I...we didn't just work out after he left for Germany" I honestly didn't know why I was lying. There was no need to cover his cheating ass anymore.

"It's that why you haven't been going to work?" Her eyes softened as if she knew something.

"What?"

"Seeing him again made you miss him and now you're heartbroken again" she said it like it was the only explanation.

I'm not correcting her. For now. Oh God the relief that she doesn't know yet.

"Honey. If you guys didn't work out you don't have to beat yourself up about it. I'm sure you'll find someone else" she assured.

I nodded with pursed lips. I wasn't looking for someone else.

"Can I get you anything?" I asked her sick of talking about Michael.

"Yeah I'll have that strawberry juice you always give me" she grinned widely.

I giggled. She loves strawberry. I brought the juice with a glass cup and placed it on the side table.

"Thank you" she lets out as she hurriedly opened the juice and poured some of it into the cup.

I shook my head with an amused smile on before sitting down.

"Ehn. What were you saying before I asked you about the break up??" She asked once she had taken sip.

I froze.

"Nothing really. Just nothing" I hoped that threw her off my back.

I smiled further assuring her that it was nothing. She didn't look convinced but she let it go.

I sighed in relief.

Mom had left once she had finished drinking her favorite juice. It was late and I decided to take a bath.

After my shower. I went into the kitchen looking for a snack. I hardly cook, you should have noticed by now.

It's not that I can't cook. It's just that I don't have the time too. So I was accustomed to ordering food.

Not anymore. Not while I have a baby on the way. I needed healthy food. I made a mental note to go grocery shopping tomorrow.

After putting together a healthy snack of cut apples, bananas, watermelon, and peanuts. I strutted to my living room to watch some TV

I hardly watch TV too. I'm making an exception today since I'm bored. I tuned into my Netflix.

I wonder why I have a Netflix account when I hardly ever watch TV. Meh.

When I finished my plate of food,I didn't realize when I slept off. I hardly did anything today but I was still exhausted.

Pregnancy sucks.
