Y/N's POV

"Here is your cappuccino," I politely said to our regular costumers in the coffee I work at, "Have a nice day!"

I bowed down to them and walked back behind the counter, I wiped the counter with a clean towel so when the next costumers arrive the counter is clean and presentable. It was a lovely day, the sun was shining brightly and the clouds looked so fluffy even though dawn is coming. My shift was about to end to end in a few minutes until...

"Y/N can you cover for my shift? Something bad happened to my mom and I really need to go to the hospital." Shaina, my coworker, pleaded. Welp, looks like I have to stay for a few hours.

"Sure, drive safe!" I told her. She smiled, grateful that I covered for her.

"I owe you big time Y/N." She said and ran out to her car.

I sat back down and sighed, I needed to take a rest but I still have to cover for my friend. Her nightshift takes 4 hours so I'll be home by 9 PM, I took out my phone and tapped my girlfriend's name on my messages.

I heard costumers come in so I immediately put my phone in my pocket and greeted them. This is gonna be an exhausting day.

// Time Skip //

"Why didn't you tell me Shaina left so soon? I could've started my shift early so you could rest." My co-worker, Jackson, said as he put on his apron. He works 8 hours here in the coffee shop, he usually starts at 9 or 10, which is the time Shaina's shift end. (A/N: yes, it's Jackson from Got7, couldn't help but add him here, I've been simping on him in the past days)

"I mean, you start your shift at 10. I didn't want you too extend your shift any longer, plus there were a lot of costumers earlier so I couldn't really text you sooner." I explained, I took off my apron and stuffed them into the bag. He shook his head as he did a coffee for a costumer.

"I can handle a couple of hours Y/N, I don't want to see you tired. Go home and rest," He softly said. He gave the coffee to the costumer before giving his charming smile. "And tell your girlfriend to fetch you, it's dangerous around here when it's dark."
