It can be hard to cope with the fact you went through so much trauma your mind couldn't fuse into one distinct personality. So, how do you learn to cope with having DID? You surround yourself with supportive people and seek therapy. Maybe make a grounding box to help you ground as well.
So what is a grounding box? It's a box that is full of things to help you ground. I've seen candies, lotions, fidget spinners, things like that kept in a grounding box. Grounding boxes are good for anyone who gets disconnected from reality.
DID affects 1-3% of the world population but that doesn't count all cases. That's still quite a lot of people so whenever you feel alone and that you're the only one who has this disorder just remember you're not alone. Also if you ever think you're faking the likelihood you are is low. You would know if you're faking because you'd have to think about faking. I hope that makes someone feel better.
DID YouTubers?
You've probably already heard of a few DID YouTubers if you're looking into the disorder. I thought we would recommend a few. So a few amazing DID YouTubers are Multiplicity & Me, Bobo and Co, The Entropy System, Acrylic and Aether, Axolotls-In-A-Trenchcoat, The Alternative System, Daycie Eyre and DID Hatchery. The Entropy System doesn't make videos anymore but still has amazing content up on their channel.
Right now the DID community is healing from something that happened. We won't talk about it but thought it was a good idea to bring it up. We also have a channel, The Galactic System, if you want to check that out. We mostly post vlogs but occasionally post some educational videos.
Note: Sorry this part is short. We'll try to make the next one longer.
