It was just after 6:00 that Jimin was still at the library, reading books about Vikings and how they had lived all those years ago, sun beams still shining through the windows lining the wall.
Jimin had been stuck in his university's library for over an hour because he had been studying history with his bestfriend Taehyung for a project that they had been assigned earlier on today, so Jimin had naturally suggested they get a head start on the project since he knew Taehyung usually took a little longer than most people when it came to school projects for their last grade of the semester.
Biting the end of his pencil, Jimin sat down with two books he thought would be good to jot down some notes about.
One was The Age Of The Vikings, and the other The Vikings: A History, since those were a couple of the books their professor had suggested for them to take a peak at.
Their professor had assigned them the task of finding put what they used as money, or a trading value as per what their professor had stated it was in technical terms.
And of course Taehyung had gotten distracted by the illustrations of the jewelry and such the Vikings had incorporated into their jewelry when they had extra of whichever they had at the time.
"So, according to this paragraph, 'Far and away the most common metal in the economy was silver, although gold was also used. Silver circulated in the form of bars, or ingots, as well as in the form of jewelry and ornaments.'" Jimin repeated to himself as he wrote that down.
"Hey, Jiminie-hyung, look at this Viking here. They have a painting of one of them here. What do you think? Would you fuck him?" Taehyung whispered, respecting other people studying in the library.
"WHA- NO TAEHYUNG! WHY WOULD YOU SUGGEST THAT?" Jimin yelled, immediately regretting it because he looked around the room and noticed many people looking at him, giving him looks.
Clearing his throat, he let out a small 'excuse me' to the people around him and immediately took his gaze back down to the table, letting his eyes drift to the illustrations of the painting of a random Viking that Taehyung had shown him.
"Jiminie. Look at him. Isn't he kind of cute? I mean, in like, the barbaric way?" Taehyung prodded again, combing through pages to stop at another, this time petting out a gasp.
"What, Tae?" Jimin began, curious from how he heard his bestfriend gasp.
Lifting his gaze, he saw as Taehyung's eyes shoot open as wide as he'd never seen before, Taehyung turning the book towards Jimin, sliding it so it covers the inches left of space between them.
"This Viking's name is Jeongguk. It says that he was the leader of the Jeon Clan, that he was the strongest in the group, which is why he was picked as the leader." Taehyung goes on, looking down to point to a rather large section of text. "This here also says he had been much smarter than most of the others, which again, is why he was picked. So, what about now? Would you do him." Taehyung jabs at Jimin again.
"Tae! No, stop! We need to get this done before Wednesday." Jimin responds, chuckling at his bestfriend's way of telling him he should find someone for himself soon.
"Ok, I'll take a step down on my jokes for now. But I'm serious, Jimin. You need to find someone so your not as lonely. I hear you whining and complaining to yourself every now and then about how your so lonely and tired of binge watching all of those cheesy romance dramas by himself.
"We should focus and get this done for presenting on Thursday, Tae. The second to last question says 'How did the Vikings survive in the cold winter months?'". Jimin asked, pointing to the question with his finger, eyes switching between his paper and the book, illustration of the viking still in view.
