100 years of sleep a No Straight Roads story

Reunion

Omega 5's POV.

I was awoken by a loud crash coming from the kitchen. I got out of my bed and sleepily walked into the kitchen. It was there I saw Alpha 1 out in his human form and raiding the fridge. I cleared my voice and he immediately looked at me in surprise.

"What the hell are you doing," I said groggily as I looked at the clock on the microwave. "It's 3:00 am in the goddam morning."

"Sorry, I was hungry. Wait, I thought you didn't need to sleep?" Alpha said to me as I gave him my death stare.

"I may be an automaton, but I still have to recharge my internal batteries," I said as I sat down on the couch.

"Well, I know that I won't be able to go back to sleep now. Come here, sit with me." I said to him as he walked over to sit.

" I just wish I could find him, you know," I said sadly to Alpha as I layed my head on his chest.

"Yeah, I get it. But I think today might be that day that you find him, you know." Alpha said to me quietly.

"I had that dream again," I said to him.

(A.N The dream is the intro from the last chapter.)

"You did?" Alpha said back to me.

"Yeah. It's just, is been twenty years Alpha. I don't think he would remember me like how I do. What if he doesn't recognize me." I said quietly as I felt tears start to run down my face.

"Shh. It's alright, I know when you find him, he would recognize someone as incredible as you." Alpha said as he slowly pets my head to comfort me.

"Do you want me to turn on the TV?" Alpha said to me as I nodded.

When the TV turned on, It was like a bullet hit me with the top headline. 

"Today, we found out that the boy band 1010 is going around the city on tour for today only. Maggie is already at Barraca Mansion with more details." The news lady said as I sat up very quickly to hear what was going on.

"I'm here at Barraca Mansion with 1010's manager Neon J. So what made you decided to go on tour here in the city today?" Maggie said as I turned on the lights in my apartment.

"Well, after what happened with BunkBed Junction a few months ago, I thought that it would be a great time to show our support for them and the of the new system that Tatiana had made because of thous two, It would the perfect time to show the whole city that we are with the public 100%." Neon J said to the news reporter.  

When I heard the man know as Neon J speak, it was like a tidal wave hit me. 

"It's him Alpha, he's alive and he was the one from the war that had reactivated me from the 100-year sleep I had been in. It was right under my nose and I didn't even know it!" I said suddenly with an emotion I had never felt before. 

That emotion was love but also sadness as I knew he wouldn't remember me after that long. But I knew that today might be my only shot for me to speak to him.

"Alpha, wake up Beta. We have to get ready." I said to him with confidence that I had never felt before.

"Are sure that's him, the one from your past?" Alpha said to be unsure if I was right.

"I know that it's him, I recognize that voice. I just hope he didn't break his promise to me from 20 years ago." I said back to him as I walked back to my room to get dressed for the events that would happen today.

(Time skip)--------

I was sitting on top of the apartment building waiting with both Beta 1 and Alpha 1 standing next to me. I was in a black dress that had a wild type pattern on the bottom with a belt in the middle. I had a pair of warm black leggings on underneath with my combat boots and my bomber jacket on over the dress. Both Alpha 1 and Beta 1 were in their beast mode.
