Another month passed. Razi cared for the doll and nothing happened. Seān recently lost his mother in a very bad house fire. His mother was at a party. He told her he didn't want to go and should finish up working that day. Someone at the party got really drunk and thought it would be funny to light up a liquor bottle. When Seān found out he was devastated. He blamed himself. After that Razi hadn't seen much of Seān. One of his workers told her he was out drinking.
Razi thought it would be best to let him drink and hide the pain. She knew what is was like. Razi lost Brahms in a fire. Although they were never really close. She hadn't seen Seān in about a week. It started to worry her. Seān and Razi had became friends. Razi began to feel like they were getting even closer. Razi made sure to let Seān know that she really wasn't interested in dating. She felt better if it stayed that way. Seān of course was ok with that. He didn't mind.
Razi gave the doll breakfast. "Tomorrow's cleaning day Brahms. I hope you'll be ok sitting in your room playing." Razi said. The doll stared blankly as usual. Razi still felt like she was crazy. Taking care of a doll like this. But she had to act her part. If she didn't, she knew not of what Brahms would do. This spirit of Brahms was unpredictable to Razi.
The next day Razi decided to leave the cleaning to do later in the day. She did the stuff on the list with the doll. Razi thought it would be fun to read the doll Dr. Seuss since a month prior they had watched The Lorax. She read Green Eggs and Ham to the doll. "It's kinda like poetry isn't it Brahms? I guess in a weird way." Razi chuckled. She read some more to Brahms. The next thing to do was music appreciation. Razi couldn't play the piano. She never learned how. She stared at it nervously. Razi began to play keys she thought was right. It sounded horrible. "I'm so sorry Brahms. But I never learned how to play. My parents refused to teach me." She kissed the dolls forehead.
Razi brought the doll upstairs with her. She set it in Brahms old room and walked into her room. Razi picked up her phone and checked it. There was a lot of missed calls from Malcolm. Razi sighed. She called him back. He answered it right away. "Razi what the bloody hell are you doing there?!" He asked. "Ah so you found out." Razi said. "Yeah your mum told us. We knew you were going to England but to see that house? Are you crazy?" Malcolm asked. "Ah you know me Malcolm. I might be a little bit crazy. Ok jokes aside, I got curious about what you said. I mean I used to know the Heelshires." Razi said as she sat down on her bed.
"You need to get out of that house Razi." Malcolm said. "Pft why? Nothing's happened. All I've been doing is keeping the house clean. No harm done. I've even upgraded a few things. I got a wifi router from Seān and a new tv. The old one is in my room." Razi questioned. "Razi you don't understand, you need to get out of there now. It's not safe." Malcolm urged. "Malcolm nothing's wrong. I'm perfectly fine. No ones here except me." Razi explained. "No Razi you need to get out now there's someo-". The call ended. She looked at her phone confused. There wasn't a signal. "What the?" Razi questioned.
She went downstairs to the wifi router. It was on the floor broken. She jumped back. "No no no Brahms! You said you wouldn't do anything if I followed the rules!" Razi cried out. Razi picked up the router. Every piece of it. "I-I didn't tell Malcolm about you still being here. That's good right?" Razi said as she made her way to the dolls room. Still holding the broken router. She approached the room. The doll was siting the way it was. She sighed in relief. Razi went in and got the doll, holding it by one hand. She turned to the wall and it was covered in drawings. It was colored with black crayon. It said one word. Stay. Razi dropped the router. She almost dropped the doll but grabbed it quickly.
She ran downstairs holding the doll. Razi gently tossed the doll into a chair and backed away. She wanted to say something, anything to the doll, but she couldn't get a word out. She was terrified. Razi fell to her knees. She stared down at her hands. Her hair falling from off her shoulders. The hair gently touched her cheeks. "BRAHMS!!!!" She screamed.
