Oh Atu- Already?

"Daddy. Daddy. DADDY!"

Those were the words I woke up to at my first dawn of parenthood. Lotus was shaking me like a maraca, and to be honest it felt horrible. "What is it, sweetie?" I replied, still unsure of what the hell was going on.

"Why is there a cord on your leg?" she unexpectedly said.

Crap.

No, no, no! Did she have to find out on the first day? I couldn't tell her. Not now! Still, I had to, or she would spy on me FOREVER. "Sweetie, you might not believe this," I said, "but I'm actually a robot." I could see the shock on Lotus' face. Clearly, this was unfathomable to her. As I sat there wondering if I would've been better off staying silent...

"Lotus~ Breakfast is ready~" Miu called from the kitchen. Right away Lotus sprinted to the kitchen. Welp, time to binge Star Trek. Immediately after turning on the living room TV, I could tell Miu had made strawberry waffles-a favorite at the time-just from Lotus's rabble.

A few minutes later, it was time for our morning walk. It was nice outside, a sunny day with a few clouds. You know those days that get off to a rocky start but overall turn out good?

Right when we took the first step out the door, I knew today would be one of them.

I left the girls on their own while I listened to lo-fi music at the riverbank. It was soothing as hell,and I thought, "Nothing could ruin today."

I ran into the girls while I strolled by the river. They seemed excited about whatever. "Hi, honey. Hi, sweetie," I said to them. "What's the news?"

"Guess what? Kaede's going to have a gender reveal in two months!" Lotus screamed excitedly. Woa! I'd known that Kaede had been pregnant for a while now, but words couldn't express my interest in that gender reveal. Anyways, noon was coming and it was time to go home.

When we got home, I watched a game show while the girls ate fruit salad. There's this one guy on the show that's pretty dumb, and they bring him on whenever the audience needs a laugh. Oh man, he cracks me up.

We still had time to spare, so we played a round of Super Mario Party.(a/n: god I hope Nintendo won't sue me....) It was a Partner Party round; Miu and I versus Lotus and the CPU. It might have gotten a little too deep because I started to wonder if my character was technically a CPU, due to my robot status.

After that was said and done, we played Splatoon 2 for like an hour. Miu was being all "nanananana you can't hit me" to the enemy team, while Lotus preferred to splatbomb and then use the inkjet. And as for me, I used a pretty mean rainmaker.

I marked the calendar for June 21st, and then I needed a bit of alone time. I chilled in my room reading a murder mystery story. When I finished the third chapter, it was already bedtime. I started to charge, then called it a night...
