"please" liam begged with soft puppy looking eyes.
"no" my mum answered back wrapping up glassed snowflakes for the customer at the counter watching my mum and liam go back and fort their eyes following whos talking. i sat upon the stool laying my chin in my hand also watching them banter as niall looked around the store trying to pick out a new light up reindeer to put up in his yard.
"why not Miss W" liam said dramatically throwing his head back then leaning against the counter, "dont you think i should be able to Alexis" he asked as my mum rolled her eyes and thanked the lady at the counter as she boxed up the decoration and out the door she went with a chuckle and a head shake.
"oh no dont you bring me into it payno" i said pointing my finger at him.
"no fun Lex, you were a lot more fun back in the day" he rolled his eyes at me then turned back to my mum giving her the soft pouty look.
"give it a rest mate. she isnt giving you the rest of the cookies for free!" niall yelled from across the store picking up the decoration he decided on and walked up to the counter handing it to my mum, "if she was going to give anyone free cookies it would be me right miss W" niall smiled his charming smile batting his bright blue eyes.
"quite the lot you boys are. always harassing me for free cookies!" my mum said to them as she rang up the reindeer he got.
"niall how many reindeer does this make lad? you want all of santas reindeer or something?" liam said pointing to the reindeer as my mum put it in a bag handing it back to niall with his change.
"oh cmon you know lou's youngest sibs love them!" niall said hugging the decoration to his body, "yeah sure thats it nialler keep telling yourself that" liam said rolling his eyes as my mum and i let out a chuckle.
"they do! even the twins love it and lottie brings the babies over all the time to see them!" niall said and i shook my head walking around the counter grabbing boxes to replace the items we sold today.
"tell you boys what. help Lex out on restocking the store and ill give you boys the rest of the baked goods tonight" my mum said with a wink as niall placed his decoration gently on the counter and liam ran over to me with a "yes ma'am".
"here are the ornaments be very careful and dont break-" just as i was speaking i heard the small cling of glass breaking and niall looking at me with wide eyes as his stare went from me to the small broken ornament on the ground "...anything" i sighed bending over picking up the broken pieces.
"Oi! you clumsy lad!" my mom laughed from behind the counter.
niall gave her a cheeky grin and rubbed the back of his neck, "real sorry miss W. wont happen again!" niall yelled over to her and i reached over and pinched his leg.
"oww" he yelped and i let out a giggle.
we spent the evening cleaning up and restocking while liam and niall sung as horrible as they could to every christmas song that played. i have never seen two boys go as hard to baby please come home for christmas as i just witnessed. and no, they didnt stop even when customers came along.
me, the boys and my mum made our way out of the shop locking it up behind us.
"thanks for the cookies miss W you're the best" niall said giving her a hug and liam joined in, "you two say that now just to get more cookies out of me" she said to them accusingly and they looked at her then at each other and laughed.
"later lex" niall said leaning down to hug me, "bye nialler" i said hugging him goodbye.
"tomorrow?" liam asked hugging me also, "tomorrow!" i grinned and watched as the two boys jogged to their cars but not before smacking the shit out of each other and throwing snowballs at the other as niall let out his hard laugh that always caused everyone in the area to turn and listen to it. it was so infectious of a laugh you had to laugh with him.
