The green-eyed boy smirks, "Boys, let's give our newcomer a warm welcoming." All the boys around me cheer, raising their weapons high.
The boy perches himself on a small log, pulling what looks like a flute out of his pocket. He begins to play it, and all the boys begin to dance around, hypnotised.
The boy looks at me, arching one of his eyebrows. He begins to slowly walk up to me, "enjoy this freedom while you can love, you won't be able to for much longer."
He looks back at the other boys, who were still dancing around in a large circle. "Day one of training starts tomorrow." He turns to face me again and my stomach churns.
"Training?" I say confused, what kind of training has he got planned? Training for what exactly?
"Well, more specifically learning how to fight. I might have to tell the guys to be slightly less rough on you." His eyes scan my body up and down, like he did when we first met.
"I'm sure you won't be able to compare to the boys." I start to get angry, did he just call me weak? I'm just going to have to prove him wrong aren't I?
I release a yawn, "Can I just go to bed now please?" The boy nods his head and grabs me by the arm, causing me to flinch slightly. I've got to stop doing that.
He takes me to what must be his room, looks nice enough. There's plenty of books here to keep me entertained.
"Better get some rest darling, so you'll have energy for tomorrow." And with that he leaves the room. No pyjamas then I guess.
I only see one bed in this room. Great, so we have to share. I don't want to be awake for that encounter so as soon as my head hits the pillow I close my eyes and drift off into a deep sleep.
"Wake up, love." I hear a voice whispering into my ear. I immediately recognise the voice and jump up out of the bed.
He smirks at me, "First day of training today, get your energy built up." He reaches for something behind him and pulls it forward towards me.
"An apple?" I question, instead of responding he grabs my hand and places the apple in it.
"Be ready in five minutes, or I'll have to drag you out by myself." He slowly strides out of the door, leaving me alone to eat the apple.
My stomach rumbles as I come to realise how hungry I actually am. I devour the apple within seconds and walk out of the door, where I find the boy leaning against a tree.
"That was quick." He strides towards me, "Come on, let's go." I follow him without thinking, where's he taking me to now?
We follow a path and after around ten minutes the boy stops in front of me.
I look around and spot that there's a rack of weapons and an area of dried dirt, which appears to have scuffs in it from where feet have been dug into it.
All the boys are also there, gently tackling each other. The boy announces, "So girl, seeing as this is your first fight I'll let you pick who you want to fight."
I look at all the boys individually, they all look so strong- how could I pick one of them? A burst of courage seeps through me. I turn back to the boy, "I want to fight you."
All the boys start hysterically laughing, this was a big mistake. The boy looks surprised, "Alright then, I'll go easy on you though. Don't want a weak little thing like you getting hurt now do we?"
Now I'm really starting to get angry. One of the boys walks up to me, holding a sword. I quickly rip it out of his hands, bring it on.
I turn to face the boy, who also as a sword. "Ready?" He questions. I simply nod my head. I launch myself towards him and try to avoid getting struck by his knife.
However, I wasn't paying enough attention and end up getting a small cut in my arm. Blood begins to drip down, stinging slightly. "Do you want to stop?"
"No way", this catches him off guard and I push him against a tree, pinning him there. He tries to squirm out of my grasp, but I use all the energy I have to keep him where he is.
He can tell that I'm starting to get tired, and shoves me off him. This surprises me, however I regain composure and begin to try and hit him with my knife again.
He avoids me with ease, eventually cutting me slightly again on my opposite arm. I decide enough is enough, so I drop my knife and end up punching him in the stomach.
He doubles over in pain which gives me the perfect opportunity to take him to the ground. He's lying there now completely confused. "Do you wan to stop?" I repeat the words he said before.
Out of nowhere he grabs my ankle, dragging me down with him. He leaps up over my body, pinning my hands above my head, leaving me powerless. He leans forward and whispers, "I win."
He jumps off me, walking towards the boys who were all cheering and clapping. I get up by myself, looking at my arms which have stopped bleeding.
The crowd dies down and the boy walks up to me. "Wow, I'm impressed. I didn't quite expect that from you. You're actually better than most of the boys." This compliment makes me blush.
I remember, I don't even know this boy's name. Seeing as we're now on speaking terms I decide to ask him. "What's your name?"
I look directly into the boy's forest green eyes. "Oh did I forget to introduce myself?" He asks. "I'm Peter."
"Peter Pan."
