Halloween.
Humans were dressed in different kind of monsters costumes. I've always love Halloween because it's the one time of the year where people don't look at me weird.
Being a vampire I have pasty white skin and I don't age. I'm decades old and has been walking among humans for as long as I can remember.
I don't have a family so its just me. I try to fit in with the modern world as best as possible but it's not that easy. I haven't feed on humans either.
I eat like them but I don't really crave blood like others would. When you train yourself to do something you can't get rid of it.
That exactly what I did and I love the progress. I own my own business so I'm ok. I'm not married and I'm not in a relationship.
Who would want a guy like me anyway?
The oldest house in this town belongs to me. People tend to say that it's haunted and didn't come in which I'm glad for.
"You go first."
"Artemis stop being a scaredy cat."
From my perch on the bat statute on the roof I can see four humans at my door.
"Me a scaredy cat? You're sending in a girl while you stand out here."
"Whatever."
Now this should be interesting. Might as well make it a haunted house.
Jumping off the roof and through the window,I slip into the shadows and speed walk downstairs and pass them just as the door close behind them.
"What was that?"one of the boys asked. I laugh and it bounce off the walls. "Ghost!" He screamed like a girl and try to open the door which I lock.
"Get out of my house." This is fun! One girl faint as the others get the door open and run leave her.
