- Nothing new just an age switch

I remember that day clearer than the shape of my hand. I had just turned twelve years old. Mom called me for typical morning activities. Breakfast was waffles and crispy bacon strips. I had orange juice and wore my usual Happy BunnyTM that was a skeleton and black and grey stripes. Under it was a simple red sundress to match with the red heart on my jacket. After breakfast was late morning discussion about how the weather is horrible and how the wolves are so strong and how well they do in sports. She brings them up a lot, but I only care about Jessie and Cameron. They're my guy friends. Jessie plays football in the fall and basketball in the winter while Cameron is in band all year round and only does the swim team during the summer. Yet he manages to still go to band camp somehow.

Later that morning, we began setting up the house for my small party. It was mostly family and friends, but mom always invited a few other wolves because they're her friends's kids.

We are of very few of the humans that live in the Silverbay Pack, they're very accepting. My dad grew up in the pack as a defective wolf—someone who has a wolf but can't turn. Since he couldn't turn, the packs considered him human. It was fine though, because he still had his mate. It wasn't unheard of to have a human mate so they welcomed my mother warmly, but didn't expect much for me... or any children they've had. Or at least that's the story they tell me, but I feel there has to be more to it. I don't push though, I could just end stirring up drama which is a pain.

I kept up with the decorations with my mother and my dad came home with more stuff. Plates, napkins, and utensils were what he brought. He helped to the point where when Jessie and Cameron arrived together I was able to join them in the backyard. We clowned around on the tire swing mostly until more guests came. The only guests that really matter Jessie, Cameron, and the alpha and beta families. My dad is close to Beta Daniels, but that's to be expected—he's my Uncle Tom.

Following him is my Aunt Darla, my cousins Oscar, Marie, Kyra, and Lyra. Oscar was training to be the next Beta of the pack and probably will have to depend on one of his sisters to carry the line of Betas or hope his mate is an omega—for Oscar likes the skittles if you get my meaning. He's almost 18. Marie is two years older than me and the typical nerd. She's clumsy but powerful–which means she's always having to pay to fix something. Although, I think everyone in the pack prefers it be someone's bones than a glass window at this point. The twins are each other's opposite. Kyra is a tomboy, Lyra is a girly girl. They're both sweet, but have different ways in showing it. Kyra doesn't like showing it but Lyra puts it in your face. They're my age. There's my grandpa as well. We don't think he'll be around much longer without Granny. From what my dad told me, wolves who lose their mate can only last so long before their heartache kills them or their actions. Grandpa doesn't talk much anymore either unless we are ready to hear a story. I always hug him when I see him because like my dad said, I'll never know when I'll never get the chance.

The Alphas, The Evans Family, contain of course Alpha and Luna Evans—Andrew and Katie. Their children follows Jeremy, Tyler, Josh, Parker, and finally the triplets–Harry, Jane, and Ozzie. I didn't think of it much when I was younger but ever since I had the talk, all I could think about is how Katie pumped that many kids out and still have time to model and raise the other kids.  I do know my mom said that Katie tied her tubes... she still hasn't explained that. Dad says I don't need to know until I'm active, to which my mother hit him. He's the reason I never heard the rest. Each of their older sons were unique and I feel safe around them at least. Parker is the closest to my age. The triplets don't have a personality as they're only three unless you count the fact they're menaces before bed. Katie's words. I feel bed your Jane, she's the only girl there. Their ages in the same order are 22, 20, 14, 13, and 3. My dad says wolves fertility lasts longer than humans and that you can tell exactly where Katie and Andrew had a rough patch. He never told me more because 'I'm too young' but Tyler told me his dad got caught lying about being somewhere. Among other more nasty things.
