Michael

"What are they planning?" I asked Armon while my father stood on the side of me. He still didn't trust Armon at all and I didn't blame him. I was just using him for answers anyway.

"The same thing you did to Winston. I advise y'all to be careful." He says.

"When."

"They plan on going in tonight." He says and I shake my head. "Before you even say anything let me explain. Since Kenny is dead, there's no one to call the shots."

"And?"

"And that means they'll just do whatever they want to do." He finishes. "Get to them before they get to you. You know all their hot spots."

"Right." I said then turned to my father who was still glaring at Armon.

"Gather everybody. This finna be a massacre." My father said before walking away.

"Watch out for Vincent." Armon spoke before I could walk away. "He was Kenny's right hand."

"I got this."

After making it back to my father's house, I went to check on Kirsten. I opened the door to my room and saw her sound asleep while holding Raven in her arms, who was wide awake just looking around. I smiled as I walked towards the bed and kneeled on the side. I touched Raven's hand and she grabbed my finger, holding onto it tightly.

"I'm gonna keep you guys safe, even if I die trying to." I whispered. Raven, not knowing what I was saying, only stared back at me while drooling on Kirsten's arm. I decided to watch after the baby while Kirsten slept. I slowly moved her out of Kirsten's arms, careful not wake her, then picked her up and tried to walk out the room but I heard Kirsten behind me.

"You're home!" She said lowly as she sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Where you going with her?"

"I saw her wide awake in your arms so I thought I could let her play in the living room while you got some sleep." I explained as she was now climbing out of bed. Raven clenched onto the button on my shirt trying to pull it off.

"Is everything okay?" She asked.

"No. We gotta end this shit tonight." I told her. "Before you say what I think you'll say, the answer is no."

"What! Michael I could help!"

"With what? The only thing I need you to do is be alive and safe with this wonderful little girl." I said while tickling Raven. She giggled.

"Alright Michael." She says and I give her a side eye. It's not like her to give up so easily but I'll take it. I don't need her trying to insert herself into anything. "What'll happen tonight?"

"Well, I think I'll get you a room somewhere." I told her. "Somewhere in a town over. Too much shit happening and I don't need them trying to do something to you to get to me."

"Alright." She says and I give her a confused look.

"That's it? No arguing?"

"Nope. I trust you'll dead this shit." She says then kisses me on the cheek.

After our little talk, I went to the store and bought clothes and a suitcase for both her and Raven for tonight. I didn't know if I'd make it out and if I didn't, I wanted them to be more than prepared for when I'm gone. My father stayed with them along with some trusted people. I know after Winston I shouldn't trust anyone besides family to be around Kirsten and Raven but my father will handle them if needed. I have a house in New York waiting for her. When all this shit is over, I'll take her away from this city.
