_(Gaara and Mizu one-shot)_

       An evil shadow has begun to spread its darkness across the Five Great Nations. Countless villages and citizens have lost their lives and homes because of this rising darkness. Darkness; that not even the Five Kage can illuminate with their combined might and power. Due to this darkness; many valiant and honorable ninjas had fought and lost their lives to combat this darkness. Those that manage to return to their villages are immediately rushed to their village hospital to be treated by their medical ninjas. The village of Sunagakure is no exception to the rule. Every skilled medical ninja is asked to lend their skills to help those who return to their village on the verge of death. This includes Kazekage's fiance; Mizu Mikazuki. Taking a break from her duties as an Ambassador of the Senjirugakure island; Mizu offers her clans unique healing talent to help aid the doctors and medical ninjas in Suna. As long as she can; Mizu helps heal all those who have returned home. However, it's a task that seemed to have no end. Believing that the young woman has helped enough, her former medical ninja teacher and head of the medical clinic, Genji dismisses her for the day and advises her to get some well-deserved rest. As much as she wants to stay and help; Mizu accepts her friend's advice and returns home to rest. Once home; she removes her jacket, shoes, and leggings. She stretches her sore muscles. Wanting to relieve herself of today's worries and strives; she begins to make a fresh pot of tea. While preparing the soothing drink; Mizu's mind wanders back to today's batch of injured ninjas and begins to wonder what can be done to stop this madness. Then her mind begins to wonder how her fiance is doing and how he's handling this issue.

Not only are the doctors and medical ninja's are feeling the strain of this endless battle. The village leader and the people that serve him are at their wit's end to find a solution to put an end to this evil. Gaara, the young Kazekage, still can't figure out who is this secret organization that is attacking all the five great nations. And what is their goal? Constantly reaching a dead-end; has truly angered the young village leader. However, given his stoic nature; he refuses to show it among his colleagues. Still, only his older siblings know how their younger brother truly feels. Believing that the council meeting has dragged long enough; the older siblings advise Gaara to end the meeting. With a heavy heart; he calls the meeting adjourned. As all his vessels and council members leave; the young Kazekage and his sibling retire to their private quarters in the Kage building. As the siblings enter their home; they are greeted by their new family members.

"Welcome home everyone," Mizu says with a warm-hearted smile as she holds a tray of three freshly poured cups of tea. The older siblings returned the warm-hearted greeting however; Gaara remained silent and walked into their home. "How was today's meeting?" She asks as the older siblings take their cups. A painful silence cuts through the air around the group. Just before Temari or Kankuro could respond Gaara walks past his small family, not even glancing at them. The small group watched Gaara head towards his room with a heavy heart. Even though her beloved was able to hide his emotions behind his mask, she can see them as clear as day. "Still haven't found anything about this mysterious group?" Mizu asks solemnly as she looks to her future older brother and sister. They both sigh deeply with melancholy.
