I walk into my 8th period with Alexa which is Language Arts my last class of the day, thank god, we take a seat and I keep replaying the words she just had told me a couple of minutes ago, "I'm taking you!" I can't wait until September and I hope the days go by fast! Now you may be wondering it's August 18 why aren't I in summer vacation well you suppose many schools do that but we get out for summer early and go back to school early, I don't really like this process but eh...
"What do you think Ms.Summer." My teacher calls causing me to enter reality
"Excuse me?" I ask totally lost
"Just as I thought you weren't paying attention, the question was do you think Frederick Douglass will have enough courage someday to escape from the hands of slavery?" She repeats her self
"Uh um of course, he is determined to become more intellectual, which will help lead him closer to freedom." I say
"Very well explained, but next time I see you zoning out Ms. You will earn yourself a ticket to detention." She lastly says, and I nod
After a torturous 40 minutes of class the bell of freedom from this jail rings, and everyone leaves the room in less than seconds, I run to catch up to Alexa...
"So Alexa, what are you up to today?" I ask
"I was just heading to Starbucks, wanna come I'll pay!" She smiles
"Sure I'll come, but I'm paying for us, you already did enough for me, I mean two front row tickets aren't cheap my love." I say chuckling
"Mmm alright then lets go." She pulls my hand
