Third person

Giggles, whispers, smiles and laughters was filled the entire room by my lovely grade 1 students. It is satisfying on my part, as their teacher knowing how innocent they can be. Just by looking at them, I remembered the young me whose carefree and all I wanna do is to be friend with everyone. But it saddens on my part that as time goes by, I realized that being friend with everyone is not a great choice.

"Oh, look! It's Teacher Veinna!" I smiled as I heard a young boy said.

They all looked at my side, which is obviously me standing in the door.

I sauntered towards the table infront and put my things on it.

"Good morning, lovely children!" I greeted them with a smile plastered on my face.

"Good morning, Teacher Veinna!" they replied with a smile.

"You may sit down." they sat obediently.

"Since we have no class yesterday, I want you to continue introduce yourself for those who still haven't done."

They just stared and blinked their eyes on me. I was about to say something, when a young boy raised a hand.

"Yes, little boy. What is it?" I asked.

"Can I introduced myself again? I think they forgot my name already." He pouted his lips. I just smiled on him, how adorable he is.

"Ofcourse, you can." he smiled innocently.

This time, a young girl raised her hand. I nodded at her and smiled, letting her to speak.

"I wanted to introduce myself infront too."

"Okay, lovelies. You can all introduced yourself infront, including those who are done last time. Is that alright?"

They all nodded.

"Okay. Let us start with you, dear." I looked at a young girl at the left row.

She shyly stood up and walked infront.

"Hi, I am Aviona Madge. I am six. And I want to be a Doctor someday." she bowed and smiled a bit.

"Well done, Aviona. You will be an excellent doctor someday. Thank you." she smiled and walked towards her sit.

"Hello, My name is Rico and my surname is Green. I am from United states and we migrated here on the Philippines. I wanted to be a Lawyer someday. I hope we can be all friends." He smiled with enthusiasm. This boy have a great communication skills.

"Thank you, Rico. You will surely be a great Lawyer someday. Keep it up!" He smiled widely.

I am very happy, knowing at the very young age they have a dream to pursue in the near future. They are innocent yet they are also intellegent. I hope they would never give up on their dreams someday. They will meet a lot of struggles in life that would tests their capabilities and all but I am sure that they would conquer it. After all, they are the hope of our society.

"Hi, My name is Levi Reigh Vionge. I am five and my dream is to be a butterfly." My forehead frown on what she said. It was a strange thing that she want to be a butterfly.

"If it's okay, Levi. Can I know why do you want to be a butterfly?" I asked her.

"I hate being caged. I seek freedom that I deserved. I just wanted to fly 'till where my wings would take me." She replied without leaving my eyes. I got a goosebumps on what she said. It's like hearing a woman in a young girl's voice.

I blinked a several times before I uttered a word.

"Well that is a strange dream, however, I will support you." I smiled at her before looking at everyone.

"Good job, lovelies. You are all very good. I will gave you a star for that later, for now you can have your break time." I announced. And just like what I expected, they continued on what they are doing earlier before I came inside the room.

I just smiled at them. I unintensionally glanced at levi. A strange kid who wanted to be a butterfly. For a kid like her, I can tell how far her way of thinking than any other kids. I hope she would be an amazing butterfly someday. I wish.
