Eventually becoming a teacher at Hogwarts, he lost loved ones during the battle of Hogwarts and has a few battle scars, physical and emotional. Surprisingly he did cry at his mothers death, he forever wondered if he could have changed her mind. After the battle he inherited Bellatrix's full wealth as she never thought to change it.
