As the sun wakes in the east,

I clear my eyes from a lonely sleep.

Longing for your warmth next to me,

I curse the miles we stand between.

But this could be our chance to break,

Through all the lies and rules they make

Of High School love, and how it's fake;

I can feel it's real the longer you stay.

Your pearly white smile that I never knew

Could shine so bright to light my view,

To show me a world so vibrant and new.

And though the boys all stand in line

A jealous thought never crossed your mind

Because you and I know, till the end of time,

You're the only one I could ever dare to call mine.

So as the sun falls, we see less and less,

As I turn in my bed, a lonely mess,

Longing to hold you and get peace in my rest,

Until then Ill sit wishing, that I too, could set in the west.
