For the past day, Stiles and I were trying to make me remember anything. I told him about the dream I had. The event that I was remembering. I wanted to remember, I did. It would be hard. I would have this memory playing in my dreams, over and over. This dream was of me as a little kid. I was out in the forest playing with my mom and dad. Although I didn't know who they were, I could tell that that little girl was me. Melissa's the expert at this... She is a nurse. She knows the most about this... The dream was me playing with my parents in the woods. I looked about 3 or 4. My parents looked very in love. I wondered how I got to where I am today. What had happened to my family? I had had that dream on repeat for the last couple of days, but last night I had a different dream.

A rather young me was sitting down in the living room on the piano bench. Younger me was sitting next to my mother. Her fingers were placed over mine as we played the piano together. We messed up most of the time, and we laughed. The laughter filled the air as my father walked into the room smiling. We giggled. Younger me jumped off of the piano bench and jumped into the arms of my father. He picked me up and twirled me around in the air, before placing a kiss on my temple. He placed me back on the ground. He placed a kiss on my mother.

'Looks like you two were having fun.' Dad said.

'Our little Iris is getting better and better.' Mom smiled.

'I bet she is.' Dad smiled.

'We've been having a lot of fun Daddy.' Younger me squealed.

'Derek can't wait to see you.' Dad said, 'You are his favorite cousin in fact.'

I went over to the Stilinski household. I went to talk to Stiles who was sitting in his bedroom, and I filled him in on what had happened.

"So Derek really wasn't lying?" Stiles asked, "You're actually family?"

"I know, it's weird." I said, "It just felt so real."

"So he's your cousin?" Stiles asked full of disbelief.

"You don't believe me." I said shocked. Stiles wanted to help me find out who my family was. Who my parents were. He was trying to help me remember.

"No, I believe you." Stiles said, "It's just the two of you are so different."

"I couldn't believe it either." I said surprised, "Derek's family died in a fire... What if I survived that fire?"

"And that's why you wanted to tell me?" Stiles clarified, "To see what my dad knows?"

"I mean someone has to know." I said, "What if I was in the Hale Fire? What if my parents were?"

"Hang on, hang on." Stiles said, "We still don't know if you're actually related to him."

"What are you talking about? My dad literally said it to me." I said confused.

"What I mean is... I think we need to look at your adoption certificate." Stiles said.

"Are you insane?" I exclaimed, "My parents literally have that locked in their safe!"

"First, I'm not insane." Stiles said, "And second your parents are barely home. You can get into that safe."

My adoptive parents hate me. They didn't want Jackson or I to be able to see our adoption certificates. They locked them up in the safe in their bedroom. I never had the nerve to do that. Now, I actually had the reason to do it. If I found the adoption certificate, if it said that my last name was Hale then that means that my family is dead. That the only family I have left is Derek.

"I don't even know the code." I said.

"You'll figure it out." Stiles encouraged.

"Yeah, well, I can't really use my deductive skills to figure it out." I said sarcastically.
