As the wind blew caressingly through the short curls of youthful girl's hair, it calmed her every nerve; She let out a soft exhale, the kind you would hear escaping the lips of a mother who finally gotten her children to sleep. For Flax, she has seen the outside world to be nothing but a place of loathing and agony, but in her dreams felt safe to her. Dreams are often used to escape reality as much as possible, but Flax had a hard time dreaming with her eyes opened. She felt in control of her dreams, even though she has been having this dream for as long as she could remember.
Flax Do-Much was perched down, in a small boat, with white sails that swayed around with the wind. It was a very plain looking boat, with creaking wood and to small to hold more than two passengers, but even so, Flax has grown very fond of it. She enjoyed plain-looking things, it gave her a sense of peace. Right at this very moment, she was wearing a nightgown that was just as boring as the sails of her boat.
She was surrounded by the blue salty sea waters, which would ripple like the scrunched up paper of an anxious poet whenever a large looking creature would try peer out of the water. She never dared to try to figure out what the creature was, let alone get into the water. There she sat, swaying, and rocking side to side with her little boat. Suddenly, something felt off. Something wasn't quite right to Flax as she looked around with a look of unease. Suddenly...
SPLASH!
A powerful force threw her into the body of water, where the water was closing in on her in every direction, pulling her under in seconds. Air bubbles floated past, more eager to reach the surface. The sun shined through the water, making little rays of light to greet the rattled girl. Still, in shock and bewilderment, she swam up as fast as she could towards the surface. She reached the surface, coughing and choking, hitting the water with panicked arms. She swam to the edge of the pond and crawled out of brown, murky water, onto her hands and knees. Still stunned and desperate for answers, she looked up to see the two figures standing there with a self-satisfied look on their faces. A groan of irritation came from the soaking girl, as soon as one of the two said.
"Happy birthday Snow! Did you sleep well?"
Her name was Irises Do-Strength. By her name, anyone could tell that she is anything but weak. Irises was a very confident and energetic person, who you just couldn't hate even if you tried. She had a very friendly personality, despite some aggressive behaviors. She loved the outdoors and anything physical. She was very tanned with fiery red that can be spotted very easily. It also went really lovely with her violet eyes and fierce personality, hence the name Do-Strength.
"I hope you didn't have any nightmares!"
And of course, there was also her, Bell Do-Love. Her strikingly odd appearance and her cunning personality made her stick out like a sore thumb, and not in a good way. She giggled as she stared down at Flax with much pride. Flax couldn't think of anything to do but stare at her with tired eyes. Bell was named Do-Love, not because of a loving personality, or giving the best love advice, but simply because she longed for romance more than anything. She trembled at the idea of falling in love, and that love is returned to her. Because of this, she has become quite a mischievous girl, constantly trying to sneak out, in hopes she can find a lover.
"Seriously? If it is my birthday, shouldn't you make me breakfast in bed or kiss my forehead to wake me up?" I meant it only as a joke though. I wouldn't know how to feel if they did wake me up that way. I would be on edge for the rest of the day.
Luckily today was a sunny morning, the pond was warm and there wasn't a cold breeze about. I squeezed the water out of my hair raven hair.
"Irises Do-strength and Wisteria Do-Tender are doing that this very moment my lady," Rosy said with a bow, pretending to be a gentlemanly, as one of their many inside jokes.
