I can hear my footsteps while I wander through the silent halls of Hope's Peak's Academy. It is a typical day as always. The weather was the same, nothing much happening.

It was 20 minutes before my first class begins. However, I was bored and I did not want to go early, so I decide to explore the school a bit before going to my homeroom.

While walking for a few minutes, I can feel my legs worn out of exhaustion. Maybe I could rest for a while. I start searching for a bench and I suddenly feel something strange beneath my shoe.

How strange. It wasn't like there something sticky like gum, however, it was slippery like paper on ice.

I located the bench.

"How lucky," I utter.

I soundlessly walked over to the nearby bench and quickly sat down roughly. I lifted my shoe up, and start observing. As I begin to find the paper, I think it is, I soon have a weird aura of someone is watching me. l immediately look to my right and I see a man. He has extremely long black hair, red ruby eyes, a black and white suit, awfully tall, and appears to be frightening with that blank gaze of his.

Before I could splat out a word, he disappeared right before my eyes. I stood there speechless; my confusion starts to expand, and questions filled all over my mind.

Was it just a ghost? Was it my imagination? Or was there was a person who had some power in school?

I forced myself to calm down and tell myself it was just nothing. Unexpectedly I spotted a tiny piece of paper below my shoe.

"Huh?" I say as I snatched the piece of paper. I gawked at the paper and grasped it tightly. I opened it and began reading it.

Congratulations, you got the secret password for room ####. If you didn't know what room #### is, it's a secret room that holds up the unknown. You are extremely lucky and you were chosen, keep this paper hidden and don't show it to anyone. You can choose to go inside the room on any type of day. If you decide to go in the room, the passcode is-

I rapidly stopped reading. My hands start shaking with terror along with the paper is already crumbled. I dumped the paper in the trash can.

Who would believe such a scam? It was obliviously fake. Of course, there's no such thing as room ####.

I forced myself to stop pondering about it and I force myself up. I checked the time.

13 more minutes huh? Maybe I could go explore the school more.

. . .

After a few minutes of running in circles; feeling bored and more exhausted, I noticed Chiaki doing the same thing as me, exploring the school too but that's not it, she rather looks like she's searching for something or someone. I idea perked up in my mind.

"Hey Namami-san, are you looking for something?" I questioned while walking towards her. She gazed at me looking puzzled and anxious. "Hey... is something the matter"

Before I could splat out another word, Chiaki grabbed my shirt and shouted uncontrollably.

"P-PLEASE HELP ME."

I stand there perplexed and concerned. "What's wrong Nanami-san?" I could notice tears dripping on Chiaki's chin. Something is definitely wrong.

"Hinata-Kun is missing, a-and the teachers say that he is alright, not telling me where he went."

I stood there frozen. My eyes widened. "Hajime is missing?"

Chiaki nodded. "I tried looking for clues and tried asking the teachers where he was, but they said he was fine plus all the clues I found were useless, and I couldn't discover the truth."

I suddenly recall the note stuck on my shoe, but I suddenly remember that I already threw it away.

I could feel my whole-body sweating and trembling with guiltiness. How stupid of me. I could've kept that paper in the first place.

I placed my hand on Chiaki's shoulder weakly and smiled. "Don't worry Chiaki, I'll find Hajime for you."

I didn't know what I was saying, but I didn't want to leave Chiaki miserable. After all, Hajime is also my friend and I'm worried about him too.

"Are you sure about that (Y/N)?" Chiaki muttered. "I don't want to cause any trouble just because you wanted to help me."

"Of course, I'm sure! We're friends after all. And please don't worry about me, I promise I'll be safe, and I'll get to my homeroom in no time!" I say as I firmly hold Chiaki's hand to comfort her.

"It's a promise, right?" Chiaki says with a worried look.

I nodded and slowly already start walking the opposite direction of Chiaki. I could hear Chiaki sobbing again.

"PLEASE BE CAREFUL (Y/N)!"

. . .

I check the time once again. About 7 more minutes until class starts. I start running towards the hallway I once been in earlier and flee to different directions until my breath runs out.

I need to make Chiaki satisfied! If I don't then what's the whole point? She'll be all alone again if Hajime doesn't come back, I won't be able to her amuse her and-

After a second, I shortly realize that I am running too fast without thinking. Crap, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.

I eventually stopped running by forcing myself to bump into a wall, so I won't lose controll.

"Ouch..." I murmured. "That hurt."

I look up, and the first thing I see is myself in the middle of nowhere. Just a bunch of bright lights sticking on, and just a long straight hallway that's lead to infinite. I stand up and looked behind me. Maybe I could take some clues right here.

As I start walking to the endless hallway, I could see tons of unnecessary doors. Then I wondered, could there be room #### in this area? I walked into the hallway far more and suddenly I sense the same weird aura again.

I feel my body quivering and shaking. Was it because I was cold or I was scared, or both? I completely ignore my feeling and walk into the hallway more without worrying about myself.

"I just only need to collect some clues, then I'll get out of here." I reminded myself.

My whole body felt cold, and I was shaking more than earlier. I had no longer had my jacket, I accidentally dropped it somewhere just by running. I wanted or needed to turn back and go to my class before it starts but, for some reason, I didn't.

Unexpectedly, I suddenly have a vision of the man with red eyes and long hair again. I run quickly through to the hallway, hoping I won't remember him again yet the more I run, but the more the memory gets clearer each step I take.

I don't exactly know why he keeps appearing in my mind. But it seems like there's a reason why he keeps reappearing, but maybe I don't know yet. And that's when I asked myself.

I wonder who that man is.
