"-and people call Karasuno flightless crows!" Yamamoto whined.
"They been jumping about all day and even stole two sets from us" Yaku huffed.
Kenma stumbled as he sat down tired from the 5 set match. But I thought I leveled up!
Kenma's eyes searched for Hinata on the other side of the court and found the orange-haired boy jumping around Karasuno's first year setter.
"How is he not tired?!" Lev yelled.
Kenma looked back at where Hinata was. How interesting.
Kuroo got the chills from Kenma's piercing gaze aimed at Karasuno's number 10.
"We won that match! Stop being so depressed about it!" he said to the team.
Yamamoto looked up at Kuroo from his position on the floor. "We barely won! They just keep evolving like fucking playdough!" he huffed.
Kuroo laughed his antics and quickly took a look at Kenma. Please shut the fuck up Yamamoto before you give Kenma ideas.
"You're right. Shoyo surprises me everytime we play ,which makes me want to play against him even more" a soft voice spoke up.
Everyone went silent. "D-Did Kenma just say he wants to play more volleyball ?!" Yaku jumped up yelling. Nods of approval and "yeses" confirmed Kuroo's fear. Maybe it won't be bad as last time, he thought to himself before joining in with the team's antics to hassle Kenma.
- It was an hour after dinner and after exchanging numbers at breakfast with Hinata, Kenma invited him to evening practice with him and the others.
Hinata carried Tsukishima and Yamaguchi with him and trained with Bokuto and Akaashi for about an hour before he found himself sitting in the corner playing games on Kenma's phone.
"It's red button then blue button , to activate the power up" Kenma told him , trying to help him understand level 3 of Code X, a game Hinata saw him playing and wanted to try doing it too.
Kenma found himself unable to say no and went back to level 1 to show Hinata the basics.
"How long have you been playing volleyball Hinata?" he found himself asking.
Hinata's focus was on him now as he literally started glowing from the mention of volleyball.
"I started seriously playing in high school" Hinata answered honestly.
Kenma found himself intrigued. Would I be second to him after volleyball then?
What. No Stop!
Kenma shook his head and forced himself to not smirk. "Oh" he said before pushing up his knees from the position he was in the floor and resting his head on them.
"I started playing volleyball with Kuroo in middle school and just never stopped" he mumbled. Hinata's face brightened "So you love playing volleyball too Kenma!" he yelled excited completely forgetting about the Code X level he was at.
Kenma turned his head to look at Hinata. "I don't hate it but I don't love it either" the cat-eyed boy said with a smirk.
I do know though that I hate that look in your eyes when I talk about it though.
I wonder if you'd even look at me like that too?

Through watching the anime and then finally reading the manga , I came to the realization that Kenma gives off a real scary vibe when he's on the volleyball court.
Our kitten can get real scary when he's playing on the court don't lie!
He's still my baby forever tho but this book won't be really looking at fluffy Kenma as you can see from the title of this chapter this is the start of Kenma's obsession , AAHHH I'M SCARED! •_•
