This is always the hardest part when you decided to achieve your dreams, this is where you wish someone will pull you back and say, 'North, can you please stay?'. But even with those words, I know I'll be leaving. Cause this is my dream, and I'm chasing it because everyone in the family does.
It's hard because you'll be leaving your family behind and you'd be forced to live alone. Plus the fact that you'll be leaving the people you cared for, like friends, the love of your life, and everyone else.
"I'm sorry if I'll leave you behind, Yanyan. But I have to prove myself in this family." I said looking at her, she's sad I know. And as much as it hurts me seeing her like this. I would still go.
She looked back at me, forcing a smile. "Uy ano ka ba! Pangarap mo yan! Susuportahan kita sa pagtupad mo ng pangarap mo." She replied while a tear escaped her eyes. Nakita ko, pero pilit niyang tinatago.
I threw her a smile, I just didn't know if it ever reached my eyes. Cause I'm not happy I'm doing this, "I won't ask you to wait for me, I know the risk of leaving you behind. Kaya kung magkakagusto ka man sa iba, ayos lang. Okay? Lagi mong tatandaan, kakampi mo ako." I said trying to reassure her.
She shook her head in disagreement, "I'll wait!"
Muli akong ngumiti sakanya saka natawa ng kaunti, "If you wait, we'll marry once I get back. Hmm?" I said as she nods her head.
I kissed her forehead, as I close my eyes. This is always been the hardest thing for me. I'd always leave everything in a heartbeat just for her. And now, I'll be needing to leave her here.
This is not what I want. But what choice do I even get? I need to achieve something for myself and marry the girl I love. So no one could ever say I don't deserve a girl like her.
"Aantayin kita, North. Promise! Ikaw lang gusto ko pakasalan!" She exclaimed, that made me smile so wide upon hearing it.
Well, I hope it's true. Sana. Yun lang ang kaya kong sabihin sa ngayon. Sana hanggang huli kami talaga ang para sa isa't-isa
Wait for me, Yanyan. I'll marry you once I get back. I love you with all that I am.
