Two children sat on the sand box in the park, a few feet apart from their guardians on the bench, enjoying the warmth of the evening sun as it cast its golden light.

The mood was peaceful. A soft breeze swirled around them and over the grass around the park, causing it to roll and tilt gently like waves on the ocean. There were not many children around. Which left the five years old nong with his seven years old phi. It's been three years they've been playing together.

"P'Simba!!!"

"Yes Oon!"

The shorter fair boy presented a wolf toy to the tanned taller boy. Nudging the other to accept it which the other took happily.

"Aunt Jennie said if you love someone you should get them a puppy. Like uncle Jack got her one. Will you get me a puppy P'?"

"Well I—"

"P'Singto!!!!!"

A little girl in pigtails ran towards them in a hurry. Immediately prying the wolf away from the tanned boy making the toy fall on sand. She immediately shove her white teddy bear to him and look at him with content.

"P'Singto you should only play with my toys. Don't accept things from anyone else. Did you forget that Aunty asked you to share only with me?"

"Jane! You shouldn't behave like this. Mom just asked me to share toys with you. Even if you want me to play with your toys, you shouldn't throw others belongings."

Singto immediately crouched down to collect the wolf but he was faced with his Nong's already teary eyes.

"I thought P'Simba love me!"

Saying that the boy turned his back and ran towards his Aunty Jennie. Singto wanted to run behind him but his steps were halted once there was a tug from his  now crying cousin Jane.

After somehow cooing the little girl Singto moved towards his mom on the bench. To his disappointment Oon has already left with his Aunty. All Singto could do now is wait until tomorrow so that he can make Oon happy.

Tomorrow did eventually came but Singto didn't see even the shadow of his Oon. His mom almost had to drag him back home because he wanted to wait for Oon even when it's getting darker. But thank god his mother was so understanding since she promised to bring Singto to Aunty Jennie's house the next morning.

That night Singto broke his piggy bank and counted all the coins he's been saving so far. He was quite happy with the total amount of money he has saved.

"Mae! I've counted and I have thousand sixty baht with me. Can I buy a puppy with this?"

The boy asked eagerly to his mom who was busy in thekitchen. Mrs Suthiluk was shocked. She never knew her son was into pets.

"Do you want a pet baby? I can ask Por to get you one. You don't need to use up your savings."

"No mae! It's going to be a gift for Oon. I just wanted to buy it with my own money."

"Owh o-okay."

Mrs Suthiluk had a playful smirk on her face. She pinched her son's nose. She's happy seeing Singto finally taking a like on someone else. Her son has always been the quite and very disciplined child but only Oon could keep Singto always on toes.
