I felt myself tripping and crashing into another body, our heads collided, and then I felt the cold pavement under my hand when I tried to brace myself up to see who I just had crashed into. When I looked up I saw this boy with beach blonde curly hair, big brown eyes, a lean figure staring back at me. I probably looked like an idiot just starting at him, but I couldn't help it. He was the definition of beautiful.

"Are you okay?" He said

It took me a minute to register that he was talking to me and not someone else.

"Oh errr... Yeah....uh yep" I said in barely a whisper

"Good, ok let me give you a hand" next thing I know he's reaching down, arm extended.

I felt his slim fingers wrap around my hand and then he pulled me to my feet.

"Oh....uh thanks" I shyly remark

He gave me a lopsided smile that I immediately fall in love with and says "no problem" and then gracefully strides away.

I'm left standing there, gazing after him.

Who is he I thought to myself?

Once I recollect myself I headed to the bus, put my headphones on, and left the world behind me. The thing is that I can't stop thinking about him. He said maybe seven words to me, but it was enough to leave me breathless. Emotions start to flow through me and I start to feel pathetic.

What was wrong with me? I didn't believe in love at first sight did I? At least I don't think I do.

Little did I know that this wasn't the last time I would feel like this.

Once I get home I immediately made my way into the kitchen to search for a snack. My mind was telling me banana, but I was craving cheese curls. Let's face it....you would have picked the cheese curls too.

I grabbed a Cola, and headed to my bedroom. The only thing on TV was some mindless sitcom so I decided to reread Pride and Prejudice and get a jump start on my English HW. I ended up reading for 2hrs straight. The only thing that woke me up from my trance was my sister calling out my name. I carefully hurried down the stairs to see what the all the fuss was about. The aroma of pancakes hit me like a brick wall. My sister Kacy was cheerfully standing next to a pan of pancake batter.

"Mom and Dad decided to have a date night and left me in charge. So I say we are having PANCAKES!!!!"

I groan in response. My sister absolutely LOVES pancakes.

"Fine" I try to sound pleased

"What happened to you?" she asks

"What do you mean?"

"Well you seem to have a glow about you. Your cheeks are flushed, and it looks like you are actually happy"

"Actually happy?" What is does that mean? Aren't I always happy?

I'm trying to decide if I should tell Kacy about my little accident today, when all of the sudden he eyes roll back in her head and she falls down.

I let out a little shriek and rush to her limp body.

"Kacy? Kacy?!?!" I violently shake her.

No response

No. No. No. I can't lose my sister!!

Calm down Hope I silently remind myself.

I gather my thoughts and call 911 and our parents.

My sisters unmoving body stares back at me.

The ambulance arrived within minutes
