"You chose the right taxi to be in on a night like this..", the taxi driver said with such mischief. He looked at us through his rear-view mirror with an evil glint in his eyes.

"E-excuse me? W-what exactly is that supposed to mean?" Of all the times I've ever heard her speak, she's never stuttered. Ever. My heart started to race. If she was scared, then I was terrified.

The taxi driver laughed, but it wasn't a sincere kind of laugh. It was a cold, dark laugh. I looked to the side and saw my mother gazing back at me with large, frightful eyes. She reached for my hand and gave it a squeeze. That's when I knew we were in trouble.

A/N: Hey guys so this is the first time I've ever published anything. I don't really have much to say, really. But, I do want to warn you guys, I'm super disorganized when it comes to updating. I either update a couple days in a row or every two months. It all depends on what's going on with school or chores or whatever.
So all I ask is to please be patient with me. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story! If you ever are confused about anything or if I misspell any word or use incorrect grammar, please let me know!
