I was bored out of my mind. History is the worst class ever. I took this class for credits but I can't stand this class. Mr. Portola introruced me to my classmates and I took a seat next to a young boy with nerdy glasses. He acted as if I wasnt even there. It was kind of offensive that he completely ignored my appearance. Instead he acted like he was indulged in his work, but I could tell he wasn't by the way he just stared at the paper the entire time. This is so annoying. Should I break the silence?

" Hey, what's the 9th amendment?" I asked without thinking. And he looked up at me with surprise in his eyes.

" No unusual punishment." He simply stated. I was relieved he answered me without calling me stupid.

"Thank you." I said appreciating his answer.

"My name is Cole." He said quietly.

"My name is Tabitha but you already knew that." I said adding a giggle at the end.  Then my stomach growled and the boy gave me a mischievous look. I returned his mischievous look with a confused look.

" was that your stomach?" He questioned me. I couldn't believe he heard that.

"Yeah." I was really hungry. "When's lunch?"

"Five minutes."

Yay, only five minutes til lunch and Chris table number was burning a hole in my pocket.
