Lilli was scared to ask her parents, she had never before even thought about going outside the village, she was too afraid of the idea. But she wanted to find her soulmate.
So she went to the dinner table and after awhile asked.
"Father, could I go outside of the village? Only for two days", she asked.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Her father shouted that the roof felt like it's going to fly away...
"Why not? I'm 16 already , helped you and never left the village", said Lilli trying to have a reason to go see the outside world. But her father didn't let her go outside the village even one step.
So for a few days Lilli was thinking of sneaking out and running away. She didn't like the village much anyways. Boys weren't good, just laughing at her and she only had one friend, Charlotte. Charlotte is a sleepy witch, few years younger than Lilli. She does good in school but almost all of her free time she just sleeps.
Of course Lilli felt bad for just leaving Charlotte but after a week she was brave enough to to actually do it, she ran away. In the middle of night she jumped out of her window, good that she had a bush under it, good that her parents were tired after working hard and didn't wake up. She walked slowly to the gates. Weird that the gates weren't huge, making sure no one runs away but hey, it's an old fashioned simple village, what can you expect of it?
Lilli slowly got outside and looked behind her.
"Good bye village, good bye mother and father, I'm sorry Charlotte for just leaving you...", Lilli stood there and then realised, "I have to run and fast before anyone sees me!"
She started to run as fast as she could. She was excited but scared the whole time. What will happen if her parents comes and finds her? Where will she sleep? Where will she go?
