Chapter 1: Mystery Man

You were quickly running as the cool air hit your face fast. Your feet quickly slapped the face of the water as you ran. Yes you we're running on water. Your power the flash-flash fruit gave you this ability. 'Damnit I forgot my boat...'you criticized yourself. In the distance you saw a giant ship.

You quickly recognized the ship and ran towards it. 'I can't wait to see her again!'you say to yourself. Your oversized jacked blew in the wind as your hood almost fell of. You quickly raise your hands and put your hoodie up before jumping on the ship. You jumped high, high above the ship and landed on the ship. When you landed bits of wood broke due to the impact. You were never buff and strong you were more fragile, but you did have some strength. When you landed everyone looked at you. They quickly took there pistols and swords out and pointed them to you. You stare at them and got yourself in fighting potion.
"WAIT! Guys she's a friend!"you heard a familiar voice yell. A girl came running towards you. "Y/n! It's been so long!"she said. "Lily! It's been a while."you say. To everyone else's point of view you were more suspicious because you were wearing a oversized jacket with your hoodie so they couldn't see your eyes. It didn't really matter to you. The only person that you would let see your face, would be Lily.
"Oi Lily! Who is she?"a man called. "Oh this is y/n! She's the one I told you about."Lily replied back to him. You pull your hand up and tug on the front of your hood pulling it down. "You told them about me..."you whisper only for Lily to hear. "Well yes, s-sorry."she said. You let out a sigh. "Oh hi nice to meet you!"a man said. You didn't look at the mans face. You only looked down at his shadow. "Oh Ace! This is y/n!"Lily said. "Oh nice to meet you!"he said in a cheerful tone. You didn't respond nor did you raise your head. Lily let out a sigh. "Sorry, she's....shy."was what Lily said. "Oh, Well we won't hurt you!"he said. "Your a friend of Lily too!"he added. "Yeah!"another man said walking up. "Thanks Ace, and Thatch, but it's okay."Lily said. You quietly listened to the conversation as you kept your head down.
They continued to talk as they left the deck. You were there all alone not talking to anyone. Until the man named 'Ace' came to you. "Hey, why are you here by yourself?"he asked. You didn't say anything to him and kept your head down. "Can I ask why you where all the baggy stuff?"Ace asked. "Uh... it's just...comfortable."you say in awkward tone not wanting to make conversation. "Oh, that's all."Ace asked. "Yeah..it is."you scoff. "Hmm are you hungry?"Ace asked. 'Cant he just live me alone?'You thought. "No."you say. "Oh okay. Is there anything you need?"he asked. "Well...could you tell me where the bathroom is?"you ask. "Oh! If you go down that hall way make a right then go straight you'll be there!"he said all happy. You grunted. "Thanks."you say walking away.
You were surprised Lily hadn't realized you had left it made you a bit...disappointed. You went to the bathroom room and did your business. You were washing your hands when you see scars on your wrist from....those stone cuffs. You narrowed your brows in disappointment. You dried your hands and left the room. You saw that Ace was there. You quickly stretched the hoodie to prevent him from seeing your face. "Lily wants to see you. She's in the cafeteria."Ace said. "Oh... uh thanks."you say. You walked slowly out of the bathroom. You accidentally slipped on your jacket. Ace quickly extended his hand and grabbed your wrist to help you. Your eyes widened as you look towards his. You try to shake your hands out but it doesn't work. "Hey...stop...please..STOP!"you shout. As you glare at him. Ace quickly let go of you as you fell to the ground. "Oh s-sorry, are you okay?"Ace asked still in shock to the previous actions. You tried to stand back up but you couldn't. Your legs trembled. A flash of memories came to your mind that you so desperately tried to push back. You clench your fist as your knuckles turned white. You hadn't even realized that tears were falling from your eyes. Ace started to panic and not know what to do. "You saw them didn't you!" You say in a soft, deep voice. "See what?"Ace asked.
"THE SCARS!"You yell with your head facing down as a shadow cover your eyes. The strands of hair blocked your face. Your hood had been nocked back when you had fallen. "What do you mean?"Ace asked. You could tell by something on his voice that he was worried. You could feel your face heat up as tears started to come down fasten. "Damnit."you whisper. You bit in your lip to prevent whimpering. Ace was shocked and worried for you but why? Is it because your Lily's friend. Or is he genuinely worried for you.
