Chapter 2

Oikawa was the first to walk in Karasunos gym. Kageyama glanced at him with a smirk "ha you guys are about to get crushed." "Ugh... Why do you have to be so annoying Kageyama."

"No reason Oikawa just know you and your petty team of volleyball nerds are about to get crushed." "Wow Kageyama you really are still the same old king you used to be." "Ugh Oikawa would you please just stop calling me that im not a stupid king now worry about yourself and how your going to lose this game."

"Are we going to lose though you said that the first time we played and last time i recall we won that game so keep your mouth shut until the game is over." Oikawa smirked "and I said it in the finals too we won that game with a breeze you've yet to see Hinata and my new special attack just you wait we will win in straight sets!"

"Haha you make me laugh Kageyama if you win in straight sets ill stop setting for good that's how sure I am your team of brainless wannabes can't amount to our skill it takes more than a good setter or a quick spiker to win every game." "Yeah if anyone knows that it's you Oikawa I understand you might be the better teammate but I am and always will be the better setter."

"You know Kageyama ever since we were kids I always hated you simply because you always think you're the best." "Maybe so but at least i can live up to my expectations." Oikawa chuckled "is that right mister king of the court?" Kageyama walked off with the last words of "maybe if you would be a little more aggressive your team would be a little less worthless."

Oikawa suddenly was filled with anger Hinata walked around the corner and saw Kageyama storming off. "Oh he Oikawa." Oikawa ran off without saying a single word back to Hinata he wondered "what just happened between the two of them I hope Kageyama didn't say anything he will regret."

Kageyama was benched for Suga at the end of the first set, "ASAHIIIIII BACK ATTACK." "GOT IT." With a swift and powerful hit Asahi ended the first set. (Karasuno 25) (Saijoh 19) "We'll get them in the next one guys don't worry."

Iwaizumi said nervously Oikawa and Kageyama were practically over their little fight but Oikawa was still a little uneasy about it. "I can't believe he would say something like that why Kageyama? Why are you getting so much better but I can't?" Karasuno lost the second and final set giving Saijoh the win. "Hey Kageyama, nice set's out there you've really improved since we started." Daichi said with a smile "thanks Daichi but I could get even better."

Kageyama trotted away with a look of disappointment on his face. Hinata was also pretty bummed out about the loss to Saijoh. Oikawa walked over to Hinata "hey Hinata good game you had some great spikes out there." Hinata blushed and said "thanks Oikawa." Oikawa turned to walk off but Hinata's face turned bright red and he looked at Oikawa smiled then said "um... Oikawa I've been thinking and... I really like you I was wondering if we could go on a date tonight."

Oikawa blushed very hard "yeah Hinata that would be great. Tommorow at 8?" "That sounds great Oikawa!" The two parted ways, the rest of the night was uneventful. Hinata finally went to sleep around 2 am but still managed to wake up with more energy than ever at 7 am.

It was Saturday so there was no practice but Hinata still wanted to practice so he met up with Noya and Tanaka. "Hey guys are you ready to practice." Hinata said as he ran into the gym excitingly. "You bet." The two others said without hesitation they started practicing. Hinata and Tanaka were hitting spikes while Noya was receiving them.

Yachi showed up after about 10 minutes and so did Kyoyo soon the whole team was there. Everyone but Kageyama that is "I guess he's just busy." Daichi assumed after a few hours of practice everyone headed home. It was around 7:30 and both Hinata and Oikawa were on their way to the restaurant. Hinata arrived at 7:45 Oikawa arrived soon after "you ready to go in Oikawa."

"Yeah Hinata I'm ready if you are." They entered the little restaurant but when they sat down Oikawa started holding Hinata's hand. Hinata smiled so bright the whole restaurant noticed him. Once they got their food Oikawa let his hand go. Oikawa finished his food before Hinata but Hinata finished shortly after and they left.

They went to a park to watch the stars but then a shooting star went flying by and Oikawa grabbed Hinata. They both leaned in and Hinata smiled as they started kissing.
