(Translation means: Dark Cave)
(Before any suspicions rise up about this being my name, no it is NOT my name.)
Gabriella feels the pull, the pull behind her, but she also feels… Something else, something that will help her escape from the dark pit that she is within.
H o p e

She begins running forward, running as fast as her legs can take her, all the while, her hands are reached out, reaching far, dying to grab the light may not come up again. Her breath feels hoarse, even though she’s only been running less than she ever has before.

Racing through the dark cave, she screams at the light too hold its departure, she screams at it too wait for her.
But something catches her
Dark tendrils wrap around her body, preventing her from reaching the light that’s patiently waiting for. She thrashes and claws at the slender appendages, but it seems almost…
Hopeless

She grows tired, and the light begins to fade from her sight. Tears leak from her eyes, and sobbing can be heard between the screaming.
“Don’t go…” She sobs. “Please don’t go…”
But the light doesn’t listen.

The light fades slowly from her sights, almost as if its teasing her, showing that there’s no true way too escape.
The tendrils let go, and she clasps onto her knees. She’s now left in the darkness, all alone. No one there to help her, and no one there to save her. Feelings crowd through her, making it seem as though she can’t breathe.
She hollers, scratching at her throat, tears racing down her face like a waterfall. She prays for someone to save her.
But nobody heard her pleas…
