A thousand pieces of giant rocks floating in an endless expanse of sky, on them there were nearly millions of small towns, large cities, and villages.
This was the entirety of that world. Over time, it was found that each rock (which constituted a stage) was nearly 25 KM wide, bigger than many cities in the world. Considering all the thousand rock islands, its sheer vastness in terms of both the volume contained in this world and the data it represented in the real world always left everyone baffled.
Only an invisible bridge provides passage from one rock to another, whose entrance is hidden underneath the surface of the rock guarded by powerful creatures (called Stage Masters). The players must first navigate through the surface to find the entrance to the maze dungeon and then fight the monsters to find their way to the monster guarding the gate of the bridge with their weapons, skill, and will power.
However, whenever a level is cleared and a new one is opened; all players can initiate transportation to the new realm. The transportation process otherwise, is instantaneous; but upon reaching a new realm one must activate the transportation gate there.
This was it, the world's largest and first digital prison that held around 5 million prisoners. Their only hope is to fight out their way to the 1000th stage, defeat the stage master, and go out free. It took players nearly 20 years in it to clear it out and come out of their prison named Arcadian...
