"Jake, this is a very exciting moment for you!" Greg is the CEO of Science Wonders CO., this place was built to make contributions to modern society, and only part of that is true. "Yeah, meeting some Britts sounds like fun!" I was only half joking. I wanted this promotion, yes, very much since I sat on crippling debt. But this will remind me of how lonely I was. "I know, you'll be homesick, but think of the raise you will be getting, no more money issues!" Greg was my only friend, but we rarely talked to each other, only noticing each other when forced together. "Yeah, I know." I wanted to leave now, wanted to get out for some reason. I was tired of talking. "Well, be on your way. you have 2 days to pack, then come down here so we could take you to your flight." I walked out, only to give him a little nod.
When I got home, I got on the couch, watched some TV, then fell asleep. That's usually night here in my apartment. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. I will miss the place, but not too much.
