*In the throne room*

King Akar sat on his throne seemingly lost in thought. Unsure of what to do about the events that have transpired in the arena. While by the rules the two were free, he could not accept the fact that his daughter had disobeyed his orders. During the fight King Akar was tense, knowing it was a slim chance his daughter would make it out alive. He needed her alive.

His daughter remaining alive was vital to what he wanted to accomplish in the future. Her power was the key, the key she inherited from her mother. As King Akar stared into nothingness, Darius had appeared in-front of him and spoke.

"My King."

King Akar still not responding, stared on blankly.

"My King!"

The King stirs to face his right hand man and best friend.

"What is it Darius, make it quick. I have matters to attend to."

"How can you just stand idly by while she murdered my son! There is punishment waiting for those two. Just say the word."

"No. You will stand down."

Darius, now furious, steps closer to the King. His will unwavering from the loss of his son.

"But your majesty, my son was set to take over my position, he was more valuable than that daughter of yours ever was. He was an asset and she was a waste of space! Why do you keep such a traitorous child around when you have no respect for her! She defended a murderer!"

King Akar stands from his throne aggressively. Darius had never dared to speak out or question his word before, until now.

"How dare you question the King's will Darius! Have you no respect or loyalty. My daughter is none of your concern. She will be punished swiftly and accordingly by me, but I need her alive."

A pause as King Akar steps down from the stairs to the throne and begins to circle Darius slowly. Some guards overhear the commotion and walk into the throne room in case the King requires any aid during the heated exchange.

"She is more important than you will ever know. I am simply breaking her down to the ground and rebuilding her anew. She holds the key to our future and so did her mother, before her untimely demise. Your son on the other hand was simply dispensable, an attention whore in an arena."

Darius' eyes rage with fire at the Kings comment, however he does not retort. The King continues.

"Now, I suggest you bridle this outburst of yours, friend. I do not wish to replace and dispose of you quite yet. Take your leave and continue your duties. Citizens will be rowdy after today and order must be kept. Do not fail me again Darius. You are dismissed."

Through gritted teeth he responds. "Yes your majesty, my apologies for my temper."

Darius stiffly bows and turns on his heal to exit the room. He clicks his fingers to signal his guards to follow. Shortly after returning to his throne, light footsteps can be heard approaching the hall. Queen Nezerra has come to visit after hearing the scuffle. Noticing the tension she speaks, but not before glancing at Darius as he leaves.

"My King you must be tired, why don't you come to bed and lay down with me. Perhaps I can take your mind off your troubles?"

Reluctantly King Akar agrees, hoping some sleep will clear his mind.

Hours have now passed and it is fast into the late night/early morning. You are sound asleep. The moonlight softly shining through the small cracks in the wood of your room. Anna lightly snores by your side on the floor. A 'dream' fogs your consciousness.
